Our weddings usually last a week, with 3 main days of wedding. It really depends on the affordability of, the family conducting the wedding. I will give you a snapshot of the Dawat-e-Waleema [Family dinner a day after the wedding].

3-Course meal

Appetizer:

Salad/Light sweets made of dry fruit/Tea/Qehva

Main course:

Meat: [100s of recipes to choose from] Chicken/Beef/Mutton/Lamb Curry,Karahi/Steaks or Sajjji [Full Goat stuffed with Rice cooked underground]

Rice: Biryani Rice/Pulao/Afghan Pulao with Chicken/Beef/Mutton/Lamb either stewed/tikka or simply curry served with Raita.

Bread: Naan/Tandoori Roti/Some serve Turkish/Afghan Bread too

Side- Perhaps Tikkas/Chapli kebabs or roasted potato.

Sweets:

Sweets like, Ras Malai,Ras gullay,Gulab Jaman,Jalebi,Cham Cham,Pathesha,Sheer Khorma,Almond/Gajjar Halwa etc is served with Tea.

Side: Dishes like, Dahi Bhally etc are placed at the side menu.

Drinks

Cold/Soft Drinks, Tea,Qehva,Sharbat etc are served alongside the main course and throughout the Dinner. Alcohol is rare..
