Do you think if the Kalabagh Dam is made in four parts it would be more acceptable to people :

(a) Dam Construction

(b) Some measures are used to stop sea water coming in to Karachi's coastal areas like what the Dutch have managed to do

(c) Construction of 3-4 smaller barrages on the Indus River in the province of Sindh to ensure that there is greater water storage there.

(d) Making an independent & autonomous body that governs the functioning, the water distribution, the royalty distribution etc. of the Kalabagh Dam instead of the Punjab Government with equal representation on its Board of Directors from all the Provinces.

Do you think the above measures would be able to break the dead-lock ?

I was watching A program on RT channel About water shortage in Asia, An expert on these things talking to host was embarrassing Pakistan on how pakistanis are fighting themselves on A dam when its not a big issue to control its side effects by implementing appropriate Measures, he explained how water is being wasted by draining it into the sea! The sindhs people complain about their land being lost to sea and at the same time they complain about floods! No matter what they do the sea intrusion will happen because the rate of water which is to be drained to to sea to control the intrusion is not there and then comes the floods when suddenly too much water is wasted! The dam will allow Us to control the flow of water into delta and prevent floods also. the points you mentioned may help in convincing people but not those power hungry politicians of PPP ANP and MQM! ANP the problem they have is actually not a problem at all they say the dam will take their land and flood the people in surrounding villages! whereas the people can be moved and given land elsewhere.

Yeah @Hyperion do tell Marshmallow about your diet & exercise regimen because she sure as hell needs to loose some weight ! :whistle:

From what I've heard her car's back axle cracked because it couldn't sustain her load ! And then when she went for a Horse Ride in Nathyaa Galiii over the weekend the Horse Owner demanded medical compensation for the horse after the poor animal broke both its front legs trying to sustain Marshmallow ! :undecided:
