Consensus reached on Nasir Aslam Zahid for caretaker PM

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to end deadlock on the issue of appointment of the interim prime minister and may agree to the name of PML-N nominee Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid for the post, sources said.

According to the sources, the government is of the view that the matter regarding appointment of caretaker set up should be finalized in the parliamentary committee.

According to the sources, the members of the parliamentary committee, formed to appoint caretaker premiere, is likely to announce the decision shortly.
