More like the aliens will use divide and rule policy. They will pit the Chinese against the Americans, Iranians against the Israelis etc. Sell advanced weapons to the Chinese to hit the American and give advanced tech to the Americans to hit the Chinese. If the aliens are so advanced what makes you think they haven't invented the divide and rule doctrine?

1 thing is very clear all Space agencies and governments are hiding something.

The reason for secrecy is the human panic.

1 For humans to think in the whole universe only Earth is filled with life and we are the best whole universe has to offer is beyond arrogance.

2 Even UN has UNOOSCA

3 its quite logical to think some areas in space might have life way before even earth came to existence so they would have quite a head start and might have made advancement in science, which for us might still be similar to magic

4 We might not be developed enough for advanced species to openly communicate with us.
Another thing is as a species we don't offer much to advanced space-faring space civilizations.
We have a really short life span when compared that to universal time scale we are not even in mili seconds
For that alone, we cant really set long-term objective goals for the whole species.

5 Even if some alien civ actually was able to contact some state on official on any level they would have asked them to continue in secrecy just because of global politics and most probably any advanced civ would have followed the local norms.

6 The Main reason for secrecy is quite understandable
First is religion and our core beliefs geopolitics, superpowers, our Limitation most probably it will destroy our current economic system as, nations will want preferential treatment and need to redevelop whole as a united front against a far superior civ are humans ready for that don't think so

It is a plus if I can get women who love cat as well, it show they have soft heart IMO
