New Delhi: After raising questions on whether “unarmed soldiers” had to fight the Chinese Army and that the Prime Minister had surrendered Indian territory to the Chinese aggression, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi fired a fresh salvo at the PM calling him “Surender Modi”.

This comes after the Centre issued a clarification over PM Narendra Modi’s earlier statement during the all-party meeting where he had said that the Chinese troops did not intrude into the Indian territory.

Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi questioned on Twitter why and where were the Indian soldiers killed if the land, where the “violent face-off” happened, was Chinese territory alleging that PM Modi has “surrendered to the Chinese aggression”.

“PM has surrendered Indian territory to Chinese aggression. If the land was Chinese: 1. Why were our soldiers killed? 2. Where were they killed?,” he had tweeted.


Lashing out at Gandhi, Home Minister Amit Shah asked him to “rise above petty politics” and stand in solidarity with the national interest.

Shah quote tweeted a video of a jawan’s father, who asked Rahul Gandhi “not to indulge in politics” over the standoff with China.

“A brave armyman’s father speaks and he has a very clear message for Mr Rahul Gandhi. At a time when the entire nation is united, Mr Rahul Gandhi should also rise above petty politics and stand in solidarity with the national interest,” Shah tweeted.

“Rahul Gandhi, don't indulge in politics on this... my son fought in the army and will continue fighting in the army,” the injured jawan’s father can be heard saying in the video.

Later, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the statement from the PMO office on the Galwan Valley faceoff is “a lame attempt to obfuscate the truth”.

He further urged the Prime Minister to follow ‘Raj Dharma’ and rise to the challenge of protecting ‘National Security’ and ‘Territorial Integrity’.






Responding to Gandhi's tweet, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi said Twitter banned many Chinese propaganda handles but missed out on the biggest Chinese propaganda handle of all.

It doesn't matter what BJP media has to say. It no longer matters who Indian voters chose in 2019. India is facing an existential crisis similar to 1947. Desperate times call for desperate measures. The BJP government at Centre can be toppled easily even though have a majority in the Parliament and millions of weak cowardly Sanghi foot soldiers. Their authority has greatly weakened, and Modi's jugular vein is exposed more than before. Similar things have happened in many countries before.

India is no longer a democracy so the Gentleman-like rules of Opposition have no longer relevance.

The opposition seems to lack will and strategy to topple BJP in Delhi, if anything the rightwing forces will deeply intrench within the Indian society.

This is interesting. I would argue that Narendra Modi is actually the guy who is actually working wonders for PRC's reputation! Modi has quietly gifted land to China, hasn't complained about his 20 dead soldiers, and even said the skirmish was India's fault for crossing into Chinese territory. China has seriously gone up in global credibility stakes as a nation not to be messed with - all thanks to Modi.
