Yes, I am aware of this story, but there is no direct link to Paramacharya here. Still it was truly a hand of fate that stopped him from going to pondicherry

It was paramachariya who saved him believe me Mr swamy said the same too...video is on youtube......there are many instances where the sage will say not to do this or that mildly...but people do it and get themselves killed...for example a boy who came to the mutt the sage told the wealthy parents to give the child to the mutt...they refused saying he is the only heir to the huge fortune they have...seven days later the boy fell into a huge boiling oil in a festival and died a horrible death...or in another instance where a poor brahmin boy who just lost his dad was given a pandit job in canada...but paramacharya not gave him permission...so his poor mother did not allow him to go...he was angry at paramacharya...a month later his mother brought him again to mutt and the great sage showed him news papper clipping where the plane in which he would have gone and the priest who took his place died in a plane crash...he said it could have been you...like this there are many many instances...even birla's father was saved like this along with MS subbulakshmi...i could go on....there was also an instance where a guy wanted to invest in stock market...the sage said its not for you...in spite of that he invested and lost it all and hanged himself.
