Nandipur power turning out to be most expensive

To the voters of PPP, PML-N,PTI etc

How do you guys sleep at night when you know that the person/party you voted for is looting our country day and night?

no guilty conscience? ??

And how do current Army-in-power lovers and previous ex-military men, who supported coupes and Marshall Law's been sleeping at all these decades knowing that each general you put into the "superman" role.....couldn't create ONE single billion in economic activity in the past 50 years???? And that means the entire nation suffered from lack of institutional, economic, political, peace and all other developments. I'd LOVE to hear / read this answer :enjoy:

The content of this Article and the Cost Escalation of Nandipur Powerplant is proof enough of their maturity.:rolleyes:

When a teacher asks you to do homework and you don't do it or do it wrong, despite having the help to learn, do you blame your failutes on the teacher later in the life? Or yourself that "shiit, I should've fukking paid attention"????

Similarly, the government, in this case, your personal enemies NS and SS, didn't create Nandipur project themselves, didn't build the power plant themselves and certainly didn't pay for this project from their accounts, nor did they get money into their accounts. They SIMPLY listened to professional engineers on the ground who are supposedly been doing this for "decades" on Tarbela and Mangla!!

If these engineers had told the government that they couldn't fix the turbines and they needed the manufacturers help, the cost could've been down. Both you and I know the Pakistani mentality " we've been managing Tarbela and Mangla for 5 decades, the Chinese technology is newer and easier, give us a few weeks and we'll figure it out". How does a non-electric engineer (even a civil engineer) understand that these people have no freaking clue as to what they are talking about? They are licensed professional engineers.

So the lesson learned, since this, the Government of Pakistan has made it mandatory for ALL technical projects to have a support team of engineers trained on the respective technology, instead of these using these "expert" engineers who think they can figure out all technologies.

Next, your debt is going up because you have no economy and tax base. If you, your family, and the entire nation can pay backdated taxes to 1980's, I can ASSURE you, you'll be in SURPLUS!! :hitwall:!! So you guys don't want to pay taxes, don't like a system that's making progress, don't have a tax base and an economy (which means dead country and a bankruptcy in months), but even THEN, if someone works hard to bring about investments and starts projects that HAVE already changed the entire country's outlook globally, you have a problem with it

Sorry, i just couldn't contain my laughter after reading this hahaah.

How's the Public Debt looking like for Pakistan? And i do agree with you, N League is indeed a party of mature and sane people. The content of this Article and the Cost Escalation of Nandipur Powerplant is proof enough of their maturity.:rolleyes:

Your selective reading reminds me a joke that a person was having argument with Molvi about not saying prayer. For his defense person was again n again repeating that in Quran it's written that "Namaz ke qareeb mat jao", molvi sb. was trying to tell him that you have to read complete statement is says "Namaz ke qareeb mat jao jab tum nashe ki halat main ho".

But anyway didn't expected that blue title holder will remind me this. Anyway Cheers.

Showbaziya of PMLN will be paid our tax money for next 30 50 years......

ISLAMABAD: The much-talked about Nandipur power project has been generating the most fuel-expensive electricity among about 80 power plants operating in the country despite having advanced machinery.

According to monthly filings to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra), the average fuel cost of electricity generated by the 425MW Nandipur project in November stood at about Rs10.25 per unit (kwh).

The controversial plant achieved an average capacity utilisation of 42 per cent.

The fuel cost is even higher than that of decades-old power plants in the private and public sectors, which are normally dubbed inefficient and not-so-well-maintained machines.

The fuel cost of independent power producers (IPPs) and public sector generation companies (Gencos) ranged between Rs5 and Rs8.30 per unit.

The National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), which is responsible for procurement of energy from all power plants, maintains a merit order list — starting from the cheapest to the most expensive — of 78 power stations, including those running on hydropower, gas, nuclear, furnace oil, high speed diesel and liquefied natural gas. Interestingly, no stakeholder is aware of the Nandipur plant’s merit order.

Informed sources said Nepra had sought explanations from the NTDC and the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) about the merit order of Nandipur plant, but had yet to receive these.

The merit order and capacity utilisation, commonly known in technical jargon as plant factor, play a critical role in determination of monthly fuel component charge of consumer tariff.

According to official record submitted to Nepra, power plants being run on furnace oil like Nandipur produced electricity at Rs8.30 per unit in November, compared to Rs10.35 by the Nandipur plant.

Hub Power Company, set up in the early 1990s, produced electricity at Rs7.65. The fuel cost of AES of Nishat Group at Rs8.30 per unit was the highest among IPPs.

The average fuel cost of Block-I of Kot Addu power plant, privatised in 1996, stood at Rs6.57 per unit and its block-II at Rs7.16.

The average fuel cost of Attockgen stood at Rs5.75 per unit, Atlas Power at Rs6.79 and Nishat Power and Nishat Chunian at Rs6.76 and Rs6.87 respectively. Hubco’s Norowal plant produced electricity at Rs6.84 per unit.

Interestingly, the fuel cost of decades-old thermal power plants of Gencos was also cheaper than the Nandipur project.

For example, the fuel cost of Genco-I (Jamshoro) stood at Rs8.52 per unit and Genco-III at Rs9.35 per unit.

The Nandipur plant has been in the limelight for more than five years because of inordinate delays, cost overruns and allegations of mismanagement, corruption and kickbacks.

Assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups.

Assumptions and Facts are two different things. Here is an example of two assumptions and then a fact and it'll hurt but you asked for it :enjoy:

Assumption 1: IK to Taren, we'll do a sit-in in Islamabad, will attack the Parliament and other national buildings. Our friend generals will create a chaotic situation within the military ranks and the PM seat will be ours (both IK and Taren laugh......Hahahaha)!!

Assumption 2: Mushy: I think its already 2007, I can milk the Americans for 5 more years easily and can keep enforcing the Marshall Law and get many more billions by double game. This CJ guy can't do jack shiit to me, the Mushy, the Superman (laughs, hahahahaha)!!

Fact 1 (beats both the assumptions above): NS after getting elected sees the financials of the country and says.... shiit. We are about to be bankrupt. What can I do, to avoid Pakistan hitting bankruptcy and help the people to really have a chance and turn this country into a modern nation? Answer: we have a lot of hard work to do.

3 years after: China committed to $ 46 billion (phase I) investments and more coming later. Many projects are in works and will be done by 2018. The US is running a few billions worth of education, power, defense and other related projects. The Russians are working to invest $ 5 billion in phase I (more later), the Pakistan stock exchange has started, it is estimated to bring in $ 120 billion worth of investment within the next 12-24 months.Over $ 150 billion by the end of 2018!!!!

You are RIGHT facts matter and assumptions (like provided above) are useless :enjoy:

Like its been doing for the past two decades  :enjoy:?? Poeple who just talk and complain are called "Critics", not leaders. Critics don't have a vision. They stick to one topic and keep talking about it till they turn 80 and go to their final destination. There is no creativity, hard-work, etc,. The best jobs for these kinds of people are in the media, criticizing everyone. Not leadership in a political environment as complex as Pakistan!!

You realize you are talking to a brick wall.....these people will call this a Photoshopped picture, or will tell you this is a picture of NS's bedroom tv's running a screen saver and this guy was "PAID" to stand there :victory: :yahoo:  :omghaha:!!

Lol hahaa

Now that was funny

Stupid Pakistani people, they can never weigh in a party on basis of performance and its age. For them either all are satans or they are blind follower of some party. There is no middle way for them.

.
Unlike some i will not defend wrong doings of a leader.... any leader.....
didnt see u criticizing , i saw ur post history. not a single word against sharif family

To the voters of PPP, PML-N,PTI etc

How do you guys sleep at night when you know that the person/party you voted for is looting our country day and night?

are u saying these parties are doing corruption. PTI is being using funds very carefully, all surveys have suggested corruption went down. Moreover, their accountability institution is doing tremendous jobs. first time in history a sitting minister is put in jail by any provincial institution

.
All in all , delays in projects are natural it happens in engineering

Big goal is tremendous amount of Energy was added to our grid

If Pakistan , introduces better underground wiring for electricity the differences would be more visible

.
@Jzaib i with my family voted for Ik in na 122 in 2013..
I since that time am disgrunted by his conduct

But i might vote for him again next time if he corrects his ways
