Nalanda University reopens after hundreds of years!

I remember reading somewhere that it was a Hindu king who exterminated Buddhism in India ..?

No, Lil jimmy
; you read that wrong, if at all you did.
Buddhists never got exterminated in India. Nobody could ever do that, so they are still around. Just as the Dalai Lama and his followers have been given safe sanctuary in India.
Do try to read up on that, may be quite enlightening?

I never went there but I want to.

@Capt.Popeye actually it was a soft spoken man from kerala with his revivalist Hinduism that was responsible for it.

Adi Shankaracharya and later Sree Narayana Guru. The latter had an important message of caste reform.

One religion, One god, one caste :-)

Yes I heard Jainism is very similar to Buddhism. They are Atheistic, and known for being well-educated?
jain monks are highly fanatic  they won't even go outside at night for fear of stepping on insects some of them eat only once or twice in a week.

You mean that religion is your forte.Did I read it right??
If so earlier you had said that you and your frens get spiritual when you're drunk.

Why is everyone so adamant at confusing me today??
I wont call it 'forte', but I have read up on religious history back in high school and refuse to call Hinduism as a 'religion', for me its a way of life, as you said. This is what I argue about with those gujjus. They are one stubborn bunch.

They even cover their nose while breathing, lest an insect get sucked in and die.

Jainism is one of the oldest offshoots of Hinduism, and it baffles me to think about the level of their concern for fellow organic creatures from such ancient times.
