What Jana has mentioned in her 2nd post is the total extract of this news. Govt is blaming Russians for being naked vulgar etc and covering up its inability for not providing adequate security to stop crimes against tourists. Shame on you minister...........

Knowing what i know from living in west does not mean i have those horrible things and my writing should indicate to you that I am a person of quality and not one of those who like to visit such places and hope to be there, catch my drift.

Just FYI - Nudity in public is a punishable offence in India. So the "naked people" being referred to could not be completely naked. Hence either the title of the thread is incorrect or the report or the minister himself used the wrong word, it should be "scantly-clad" instead.

Now, there is a standard of decency and personal integrity set for people in different countries. If something is standard/normal in one country, it may not be the same in another - in fact it could highly derogatory. So people visiting other countries must respect that country's general public sentiment
and try to behave in a manner that does not offends their culture or disturbs the general social environment. Is that a lot to expect?

For some people clothes are just for the purpose of adorning the body, for others clothes are also for maintaining a certain amount of personal decency and respect. I prefer the latter style of living because neither roaming in public naked is hip in India nor it projects a picture worth looking back at for future generations to come (imagine King Akbar, Abraham Lincoln or Albert Einstein roaming naked in public). In short, it is not graceful.

If foreign guests in India, especially women are treated so outrageously, then shame on us as Indians as well. Even small girls being raped has become quite a trend in this country. And that is all because as a society we are slowly developing likeness for improper behavior vis-a-vis the content of general entertainment and social interaction amongst youngsters.

I am of the opinion that for sexual and other severe crimes against minors there must be capital punishment.

The second largest one is Hawah Beach named thus for the topless European women who used to throng there. It was the first topless beach in India.Topfree bathing and parading is banned now except in private coves owned by resorts. Visitors frequent these two beaches

Why is this a big deal now??? Goan beaches always have had nudity!!! Infact, there is one certain secluded beach in karwar, karnataka where the craziest parties and craziest everything happens and lots more in Goa. Be it drugs, be it trance music ..Goa is the hippe capital of the world!!!
