Nope... actually Nairs are expected to be Pure Vegetarian which a generation before me was followed strictly in my family ... Nair is actually a warrior caste ... So Nair is expected to be Just and never let injustice happen in the society ... By killing a poor voiceless animals they become unjust ...I know a beefeater nair, I've heard most are beefeaters.. true ?

interesting, but all traditions have a shelf life. I'm sure the future Nairs will be fineNope... actually Nairs are expected to be Pure Vegetarian which a generation before me was followed strictly in my family ... To understand this you should read the story of the Shibi Chakravarti...
Its an another thing all people with Nair's surname are not warriors , some assumed the title and some were giving by the king for their bravery ... So the person who got the title may follow the Nair tradition but there is no guarantee that his family and his next generation may follow it while still retaining the Family title ...
Thats y most Nairs prefer to marry from a Known Nair family who has history of generations ... once we marry outside we are removed from the community and our Children are no more considered a Nair...
I know Its a difficult thing to understand ... but now the tradition things are getting over so is our way of life...
