Opposition don't ask for vote of confidence...they move motion of no confidence ...and they can do that at there point of choosing ...I don't know who advice IK to take vote of confidence himself ...
after 6month not before this if Ik wins vote. of confidence

.
Yeah I got confused that difference is of just 2 seats but it's 6...yeh be gayi seat... Perfect slap will be wining senate chairman elections that will be a perfect response
Independents. One is already pti. 4 are from fata and support the government. They will vote in favour of sajrani.
Fata ones will support PTI because Immu khan made Fata part of kpk and Fata got its rights. Also huge development is going in in FATA including dams roads etc
PTI govt can still pass legislations through joint session of both houses of parliament.
First law they should pass is to sentence these corrupt politicians to unbailable jail term

No, there is no such thing in constitution..they can do it right after next week or month whenever they seem fit ...as per law one need 20 percent of members of NA to submit application for vote of no confidence ..this is what even today two retired judges said in shahid Masood show...this 6 months clause is no more in law ..

And that is how it is. This is exactly why you don't enlist snakes in the first place. Of all the pompous hyperbole Imran Khan has, he's not very smart in the end. Not very shameful either. Exactly like a politician and not the messiah that so many of us desperately want him to be.

There is no flipside. He had grandiose, almost messianic claims of changing the system. Then he became a part of the very system for his own politics. I would have happily taken him losing without the "electables" because with them Pakistan would have continued to lose, as it is. When he did not have them, he was at least helping change the voter mentality in the country, however little. PTI just winning doesn't give me anything.

If change is to come from top to bottom then it will come from a man who is absolutely uncompromising and incorruptible. It has happened once before. Not from a man who claims to be 'principled' only until he needs to abandon those principles for his own political gain. Leaves you with idiotic and shameless excuses to boot.

That is a childish and nonsensical argument. An excuse, actually. I'm sorry but there is no excuse that can justify any wrong doing.

The doings of others do not absolve Imran Khan from his. Nor is he exempt from the very deserved criticism just because his alternatives might have been worse. In fact, he is directly subject to my criticism. We need to grow up. It is exactly this mentality which brought Bhutto, Benazir, and Nawaz to power before Imran.

Would not have mattered. What we have right now is no better.

What most of us somehow can't see is that Imran Khan is not a messiah. Not a prophet sent from the heavens to fix everything just by being there. He is a man who promised himself to be a messiah. Turned out to be a pompous and incompetent hypocrite instead. Yet we worship him. Our allegiance, apparently, is hilariously with a politician and his party, not the country. The supporters of PTI, PMLN, and PPP are no different. You guys are exactly the same in your thinking and your reasoning. You all worship two-bit politicians for some reason which I cannot understand.

Electables was not a good decision, maybe it should have just been better to sit in opposition and let Pakistan be looted and plundered for another 5 years with military having fights with the PPP/PMLN government. FATF Black list and sanctions too.

No one is calling him a messiah or anything like that. PTI supporters want him to uproot this rotten system and the dynasty political parties born out of military dictatorships once and for all - that's it!

Then bring back military dictators for all I care but don't breed new Bhuttos and Shariffs in the nurseries ever again! Be proper frigging dictators, not half assed wannabe politicians with warped policies to win over civilians! It is still the military that is backing the survivals of PPP and PMLN.

Might be ...this is what I think they implied that it is not any vote of no confidence now ...This is just vote of confidence voluntary from PM side..

Reading the constitution, yes that is correct. Article 96 was removed, and it contained 6 months clause.

As timeline no longer exists in Article 95, maybe Presidential Ordinance can be put through for a temporary time bar/limit which opposition would need to challenge in SC.

Also where the Constitution is mute (such as the time bar/limit), government should be able pass an Act to fill in the gap. Maybe there is an act somewhere with 6 months limit - Article 96 was removed in 1985 so not sure people like Nawaz would have left a sword hanging over their heads with opposition being able to bring in a vote of no confidence every other week!

This Article 96 was replaced in 1985. It is no longer part of Constitution. There are no time bars/limits now and no explicit time bars/limits either. Unless there is an Act somewhere with a bar/limit.

So what is the total bill of expenditure for all this drama so far?

Why has PM promised amnesty for corruption?
