So its a 14 party alliance, PTI, Mullahs, Muslim League Lotas, etc and their campaign led by paid celebrities and non-residents vs lone PML-N. Eager to see how this one turns out.

Correction. PTI with 14 or 13 Parties vs PMLN, JUI-F, JUI-S and its fully functioning govt. machinery with tax payer's money :)

lol If its going to be rigged then why run for elections and waste all the money ? Is the Army not enough to be stationed in and out ? Is the Judical Commission not enough for probe and Media not enough for enquiry ? To me it looks like you guys are making excuses to cover your weaknesses.

NA 122 LAHORE Election is being termed as the most expensive single election in the history of Pakistan.

The 15 Lakh limit is too small for NA122 Lahore election.

I do not mind alliances in this situation and especially in Punjab where PML-N and its state machinery and tax payer's money is in its full use. PTI is in opposition here in Punjab rather at their home.

LAHORE: The Punjab police have put in place comprehensive and elaborative security measures for NA-122 (Lahore) and NA-144 (Okara) by-elections to be held today (Sunday).

A spokesperson for Punjab police said that special control rooms had also been set up in Central Police Office (CPO) to monitor security in the both constituencies.

Senior police officers under the supervision of Punjab police Inspector General Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhaira would monitor security and policemen would work round the clock in the control rooms.

Special police pickets had been set up at all entry and exit points in the city and implementation of code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan will be ensured.

The body search of voters will be conducted at entry points of polling stations, the spokesperson added. Policemen have been directed to keep a vigilant eye on suspects and no one would be allowed to park vehicle near polling stations.

According to the security plan, about 8,688 policemen would be deputed in 494 polling stations in Lahore and Okara comprising 17 gazetted officers to ensure peace, law and order and avoid any untoward situation in the province.

As many as 659 upper subordinates, 5,542 lower subordinates, 494 razakar and 1,976 officials of special police will conduct patrolling and flag march under the supervision of divisional SP on all polling stations.

However, security of NA-122 has been divided into four stages and ten teams of Anti Riots
Force will also remain on stand by.

Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 ambulances and rescuers would also remain on high alert.

Personnel of the Pak Army have also been deployed at the polling stations in Lahore and Okara on the directions of the Election Commission.

Good for democracy and terrible for Pakistan. Expect the announcement of another dharna immediately afterwards.

Pakistan needs stability and the sitting government to finish its term. IK may be the answer but not today and not now.

This one seat wont change the power balance
