I hope he is not a dove like Hu Jintao and Wen.
He can't afford to be a hawk in this case. There will be only more geo-political consequences which can easily be avoided. North Korea issue is a quicksand that no amount of power or force from either US or China can change. Either side has to cut the slack.
There is news that reported a coup attempt by the indian army. Of course, both the indian government and the indian army are denying that it was a coup attempt. But the fact is two armoured units were advancing towards Delhi without prior notice, so things are not really that nice in the so-called 'largest democracy'.
If only this was true, my friend.. if only this was true. Do you know how many people were disappointed that how this government was not kicked out?
I've said this many times and will say it again; majority Indians are more concerned about excellent governance and social freedom only. If they can get good facilities in a semi-authoritarian environment and can plan their daily life as they please, they'd prefer a semi-authoritarian regime over this current joker of a "secular democracy". Secularists are panicking as their days are coming to an end here.
Too bad it turned out to be just a rumor.
China should do what the US has been doing for decades, it should encourage change of regimes that are minions of the US and hostile towards China and her allies. The US should be made to taste its own medicine.
It is only possible if China can impress regimes like Chavez of Venezuela or even Raul Castro. No other regime is as hostile as either of these two in South America to the USA.
