Myth of illegal BD immigrants and persecution of India's bengali muslims

.
Myth ? lol...
Its a known and proven fact that there are lots of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in India and there presence destabilizes the society as well as the economy.

We need to send them back to where they came from, each and every one of them.

.
You should also know that there are parts of Central Calcutta - the quadrangle between Wellesley Street and Chowringhee, bounded by S. N. Bannerjee Road in the north (the Corporation building is on that) and Park Street in the south which is increasingly Bangladesh-oriented. The hotels, the shops, the restaurants, all have shifted to cater to the Bangladeshi tourist - tourist, mind you, this is not part of the other discussion going on. These tourists come in for medical treatment, mainly, surprisingly so, because medical practice in Calcutta is decades behind medical practices in other metros or even sub-metros.
Quoted for truth.

Hospitals like B.M.Birla Heart Research Centre or Apollo Gleneagles are teeming with Bangladeshis. Every 2nd person you bump into is BDeshi. Most of them are legal though.

@OP: Just a FYI. I live near Topsia/Tangra. Anybody who thinks there are not many illegal BDeshis in Kolkata, just give me a effing break.

About the medical tourism, almost all are; I can't think why they would need illegal. The present DC Security Control keeps a sharp eye on the illegals, but there are political implications. He can't do a thing about a regular racket, only occasional random violators.

About Topsia/Tangra.

I'm stunned!

I thought Topsia/Tangra were Bihari Muslims, hoods whose sons ran expensive motorcycles and dragged on the Bypass. Karaya Thana OC was given instructions to go easy on three-on-a-bike, and helmetless heroes from these parts.

Just goes to show one mustn't assume things but check them out for oneself. I lived on Ballygunge Circular Road, and kept going through the T/T area for the airport. Not to mention Mishra's lassi in Tangra.

.
For every 10 links for the motion, there are 10 articles against it. State policy is not dictated by these. The Government of India has already set in motion all that is required to rid India of illegals in a short period of time. Law will take its own course from now on.

It is obvious that Bangladesh will not accept them. In which case they will either stay in UN camps as stateless people or be pushed into the no man's land between India and Bangladesh.

I am aware that the solution is immoral by our standards, but statecraft is perhaps like that. We have been unable to properly feed our own so many years after independence, even when we have surplus food rotting in the warehouses.

I am not sure if Indian government is going to take any rabid measures very soon as it seems they do not have any immediate solution in their mind.Even if they are send to UN camps or in no man's land it will be India again liable to feed and take care of these stateless people. So I believe, our inefficient food grain management system should not be treated as a justification to send this people to their own country at all.
There are in fact some solutions. Solutions which might not be accepted by all corners of our political societies but can prove to be fruitful to avert any collision with the present pro-Indian government and provide us dividends in future.

too much horse shit posted......stopped reading after the claim that Muslims were one of the original inhabitants...

yeah,,,,ppl dont know mch about NE,,,,clever of u to bank on there ignorance n post propaganda

@jaunty @zootinali @Jayanta

Muslims never inhabited the NE....Aurangzeb attacked Assam 17 times and failed...the only success was by Mir Zulma who managed to occupy parts of lower Assam in late 1600 which was re-occupied. So people claiming such stupid things needs to get their brain checked.

I think, you are quite wrong in your assumption that Muslims from Bengal did not settle in Assam before BD was created.

1) In fact, it started since a failed invasion of Assam by Turkic ruler of Bengal, Malik Bakhtier Khiliji, in around 1202. The settlement was precipitated in Kamrup and Goalpara in the western Assam, which is adjacent to Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet.

2) The 2nd phase of heavy settlement was precipitated when another Turkic King of Bengal, Malik Turbak, invaded Assam in 1530. His army was defeated by the Ahoms and were taken prisoners. But, unlike Muslim troops, who loved to behead their PoWs, these Muslim PoWs' lives were spared. They were allowed to live, but were treated like slave workers. Finally. they were allowed to marry with the local women and settle in Assam. Their descendents formed the 1st batch of significant number of Muslim population in Assam.

3) Assam was and remains a large tract of land, but with a very small population. Assamese women, historically, produce less number of children. So, it was inevitable that hard working Muslims from the northern east Bengal started to go there and cultivate in the vacant land long before the end of Muslim rule in Bengal and India. This is how these new arrivals started to live in Assam.

4) It happened also like this. A Muslim Bangali family goes to Assam, cultivate the land and come back to his home with the produce. However, during the next generation or so, one branch of such a family started to live in those lands and finally became Assamese. Their descendents without knowing which part of Bengal they initially hailed from became Assamese in language and culture. There were numerous invasions of Assam by the Muslims of Bengal before and during the Mughal period. These invasions opened ways for the Muslims to go and settle in that land.

5) The same thing happened when the British Bengal army ousted the Burmese troops from Assam in 1824. Muslims kept on going to Assam and settle in the vacant unpopulated lands there.

PM Modi should read authentic history books and then talk about Muslim immigration from Bangladesh. It is a blatant lie. Indian Hindus should know how to live in peace with the Muslim settlers of Assam who migrated there in historical times. If the Indian Hindus tries to expel them there will be bloodbath and no amount of military force can stop these Muslim Assamese gaining a separate Homeland. Well, our militants are waiting to make best use of that opportunity.

If Muslims are foreigners in Assam, then so are the Ahoms who came from south China/Laos and settled in Assam only during 1150s, merely fifty years before the Muslims started to live there.

Just deal with banglas the old fashioned way.Tell them to adopt hinduism or ahmaddiya islam or leave. Likely 30-40% of the illegals will leave india.

We can't take the word of Bodo's as absolute truth. Even your police or Government official could not find them illegal in the refugee camp that you built after the riot last year. In the NE its the indic vs mongoloid. Muslims are made easy target to get the sympathy of the mainland India by giving it a communal color. Thats it.

We definitely are not going to take the words of those whose religion permits lying under kitman and taqiyya.

They won't go in peace. It is necessary to unleash the bodo force on them. Only force will make them leave.
If Bangladesh doesn't accept not our problem. But they can't stay here in India.

They can go to Denmark or something.

even President in his address to the nation talked about stopping infiltration in North East on a priority.

sushma swaraj is going to bangladesh on 25 ,govt should link illegal migrant deportation to bangladesh to the resolution of land issues and water issues.

Finally some one with brain. It took so long to come to this conclusion? No wonder you guys are a mess.
BTW if india do wants a fair deal regarding illegal aliens from BD .They have to show that they do believe in ,what they preach.First let the water flow freely, which is a documented contract/deal between india and BD.Let BD have all the enclaves, that are rightfully hers from 1947.
First india has to fullfil two deals they signed, one is 80 years old, another is 40 years old respectively.
Maybe then BD will feel honor bound to follow through any deal she makes regarding BD citizens in India.

resolution of issues does not mean fulfilling demands, India is simply not under any obligation to give bangladesh any kind of deal.

heck even illegal bangladeshis can be forcefully thrown if need arises.Since bangladesh is completely dependent on India and we have largely good relationship.A simple coordination can be undertaken to a peaceful deportation and mutually acceptable resolution of issues.

Hmmm,so you are saying your country is liar, cheat and fraud?
Wow.good to know for future references.
So,you don't find it wrong that india has already made these deal's, but not fulfilling them?
Your need at least in papers has risen for quite some time now.I don't see any thrown out BD citizens from india.
And how did you come to this amazing conclusion, that Bangladesh is completely Dependant on india? Did you wanted to wright Nepal or Bhutan, but mistakenly wrote Bangladesh?
If this was so simple? Why are we still writing page after page?Where are THE Bangladeshi ?
