#MyNameInUrdu movement gaining momentum; love conquers hate

If I make an exception and wholeheartedly admit that Urdu is an Indian Language, would all Gangadeshis then show some patriotism and start learning Urdu no matter how complex some of the words may seem.

Icing on the cake would be to accept this as a challenge and promise not to come back on PDF until the challenge is fulfilled.
By that logic, all Indians should learn all Indian languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi Assamese, Gujarati, etc.

And Urdu is an Indian language based on the criteria that it developed in lucknow.

Mods,

@Slav Defence @waz @Oscar

Can you please clean up this thread. Bunch of 10,000 character garbage posts. Nobody is going to read them or skim through them. Posting long articles (besides OP) should be banned.

Thanks a lot :)

Quaid e Azam separated Pakistan and India from British India with such class that 71 years later Indians are still unsuccessfully trying to convince us we are one people, one language, one culture.

A Pakistani would rather commit suicide than accept he is Indian.

We are two completely different civilizations.

Literally copying & pasting someone else's "thesis" from the Internet should not be tolerated on this Forum. There are bunch of garbage "thesis".

To whoever copies and pastes bunch of random articles (besides Original Post); Just because someone "smart" journalist wrote it doesn't make it true.

Let it been known India and Bangladesh have much more in common. Yet you never find any Indian saying "India and BD are one people"

Good point. Why are they obsessed with us? Why do they idolize us?

Something to do with 1,000 years of Muslim rule?

If Hindi is forcefully imposed on non Hindis to support Indian nationalism and patriotism and , why cant Hindis accept Urdu which is a predecessor to Hindi ? The origin (development) of Urdu is obscure with various theories of its origin.

Tamils reject Hindi for the same reason Hindi nationalists reject Urdu

Did you even read anything I wrote? hindi and Urdu were standardized at the same time. Their predecessor was Hindustani, which in turn was derived from bhojpuri

I have never understood why Pakistanis are so obsessed with connecting india to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, but get angry when Bangladeshis and Lankans associate Indians more with Pakistan:laughcry::laughcry:

False. For a Fact, they are the closest in every regard to India.

What do Bangladeshis have in common with Indians other than Bengalis, Odias, or Assamese? Bangladeshis have nothing In common with Tamils or gujaratis for example Any bdeshi will tell you that. And no, Indians and Paksitanis are not the same, but all Western and northwestern states of India do have similarities to Pakistan but nothing in common with Bangladesh and Sri lanka. THe opposite applies to East India, while Tamil Nadu is similar to northern Sri Lanka. Yes there is a middle ground between "we are all the same" and "India and Pakistan have NOTHING in common"

Pakistanis have nothing in common with Indians except Punjabis, and some Gujaratis. And that's it!

When slaves were not allowed to speak the language of the court.

They made a new language in their parallel world

You are an Elite Member.

What does that mean in English, the language of your colonial masters?

Urdu was a garrison link tongue.

Cheers, Doc

Pretty rich coming from a country that has been ruled by foreigners for 10000 years and has NEVER had any significant empire. First you were enslaved by the Greeks, then the Indian Mauryans and Guptas, than the Afghan gandharans and Chinese kushans then the Arabs, then the Central Asian Mughals, then the Marathas, and then the british. Whereas india was never ruled by any foreign power until Bin Qasim's invasion, and even then Muslims were only able to rule north india for a couple centuries before getting humiliated by Marathas. And what makes you think you are related to Mughals from Uzbekistan?:omghaha::omghaha::omghaha: Mandela effect?
