Myanmar Times:Tourism takes off in Bangladesh

Thousands of you die from flooding every few years.

In past few days atleast 100 people died in Myanmar flooding and thousands displaced. And you are lecturing us here. You think our condition is worse than that? No one knows what nature is waiting with. I remember one Nepali guy was talking in a same tone that BD is prone to natural disasters and their country is better than us. After some days that earth quake happened. I dont know if he survived or not.

The point is Komen cyclone passed through Bangladesh including major rain fall yet we survived and Myanmar lost so many people and infra. That only shows how far we reached to protect ourselves.

The Myanmar company Soe Electric and Machinery, which claims itself as the one and only of its type in Myanmar, can produce transformers up to 33.33 MVA and 230 kV and the Bangladeshi company Energypac produces up to 250MVA and 400kV, locally designed and manufactured.

I don't think comparing our industrial capacity and production with Myanmar is fair. They are quite a few years behind because of military rule and embargo. @Aung Zaya is trying to save face and we should let him do that.

However they have a lot of natural resources which they can hopefully sell us someday and who knows - maybe even manufactured goods, if the price is right. And Bangladesh Pharma products are already big sellers in Myanmar, as well as China/Melamine and other household products.

Trade between such close neighbors is a win-win for everyone (once trade embargoes are lifted).

Here's video on street-life in Yangon just to give you guys a taste of the place.

Cant relate Yangoon to any of BD's major cities. May be with Cox's Bazar atleast.
They have moved their capital to a new place Napyitaw. Which is a vast empty city. It gives an idea what it wants be in future. Its main attraction is its 20 lane road

You are the most overpopulated country in the world. Thousands of you die from flooding every few years. Food security is major issue for you. And you want to grow your population? Why do you think your neighbours hate you? You spill your overpopulation into your neighbours by jumping borders and jumping into the sea. Unbelievable.

I would never visit Bangladesh voluntarily. Imagine landing in Dhaka. Tens of millions of people and no sewerage system. I wouldn't be able to tolerate it. I wouldn't even be able to breathe.

My beloved bigmouth brother, We are not competing with you to go backward. Why don't you understand? You just opened up for business, human rights, tourism to the world. Why don't you understand, You have nothing in your pocket to showoff.

We wont compete with you, we would only be available to help as senior brother.

;)

LOL.. do u want to talk about State-run industry.. :D
