Myanmar Times:Tourism takes off in Bangladesh

How about both
We love to keep our social fabric intact first.

You certainly are misinformed. The garment industry is doing well, actually. The only drawback is we struggle to compete with BD wages (which considering how poor we are says a lot about you). We also have a more diversified set of industries and many are the result of foreign investment. We receive many multiples of FDI that you. Monkey boy will tell you about capital controls, investment laws etc. etc. but Myanmar investment laws are probably stricter and yet it keepa flowing in.

Burma thinks its a competitor of BD (let alone long list of backward linkage industry). why not compete with your own size like Combodia or Ethiopia. NO?
BD does not allow FDI in garments sector, unlike Vietnam or Burma. Whatever money we make through our sweats should remain in the country. You only earn the wages from the Japanese garments owner who were long been rejected in Bangladesh.

Myanmar was and never been in our focus as competitor. They are far behind, despite having a great rate of growth. But still its not enough to get near to Bangladesh in most sector. He don't know, how many Bangladeshi expats are in Myanmar working in MNC's contributing to train up next Myanmar. How many expats from Myanmar are here in Bangladesh? How can that be, cause there are almost none. For tourism, yah they get the most tourists by spill over effects from Thailand, SG. I have seen from SG its possible to go to Yangoon by A/C Bus.

If we even go ahead helping them to coverup, I bet that will take time too.

Myanmar guys are something we could learn from them. Having absolutely nothing as stat, portfolio, infrastructure, humar resource they are capable of throwing words. Kudos to Myanmar Guys. LOL.

.
The term domestic investment, domestic tourism etc are foreign to most burmese.
BD being a muslim country will never be a desired destination from most western party guys. I dont encourage them either.

ooppps..!! means while more educated people in UAE tried to attract people by building malls , hotels.. good to know ur views.. :P

.
Other than that - I know of almost no industrialization being made in Myanmar other than tourism.

Ooops..!!

Getting beyond insults being hurled back and forth - I have to admit I know little about Myanmar's economy, aside from the fact that it has some tourism industry. Other than that - I know of almost no industrialization being made in Myanmar other than tourism. They tried to jump start garment industry in Myanmar but apparently trained labor is absent and they have severe labor shortage, it will take time for labor to be trained.

By the way Cox's Bazaar which is only about 100 miles from Sittwe (Akyab) via Maungdaw, has scores of five star hotels. I don't think Cox's Bazaar could qualify as a 'Sh*thole' because it is packed with toursists most of the time (even rainy season). They have big plans for Cox's Bazaar. see below.

Yeah, it's great.

Points noted, here goes our opportunity for cultivation. Your people doesn't know, about land utilization.

How can you act like this when even you couldn't live in a war torn country. Isn't this the reality you can't live in your motherland? as you fled from long civil war, military oppression, deprived from basic human rights. Take help from all neighbors, get your own a** there to help rebuild your motherland. Have you really even completed rebuilding your nation? Atleast have a genuine democratic parliament institution which dont have military representative.

Btw, dont forget Bangladesh won't compete with Myanmar.

Cause the Myanmar itself like child, and

- Will start its parliament
- will start producing skilled human resources
- Will start reducing poverty
- Will start seeing Diaspora's like you returned to rebuild your motherland.
- Will start constructing national highways as minimum standard of great asian highways (Bangladesh have completed asian highways within 2000)
- Will see military budget goes to the development scopes.

You guys have to roll for more 20 years to catch us up. Until then Bangladesh will be always ready to help if you need something to speed up. Guy you are an awesome buddy, I can learn a lot from you to be a real bigmouth. Being a Bigmouth, having nothing is a great skill.

Thanks Man. Kudos to You.

Manageable or lack of population man? And, for us excess population or human resource? See China/India. We will make thousand times larger population, now have a headache. And, we dont mind it cause they make contribution to the foreign reserve. And, I am proud with this very large population. And, will go for much larger.

What about you Buddy? You got away/fled already r8?

:P

Btw, when are you visiting Bangladesh?

You are the most overpopulated country in the world. Thousands of you die from flooding every few years. Food security is major issue for you. And you want to grow your population? Why do you think your neighbours hate you? You spill your overpopulation into your neighbours by jumping borders and jumping into the sea. Unbelievable.

I would never visit Bangladesh voluntarily. Imagine landing in Dhaka. Tens of millions of people and no sewerage system. I wouldn't be able to tolerate it. I wouldn't even be able to breathe.

Bangladesh
Area:
total: 148,460 sq km

Land use:
agricultural land: 70.1%
arable land 59%; permanent crops 6.5%; permanent pasture 4.6%
forest: 11.1%
other: 18.8% (2011 est.)

Burma
Area:

total: 676,578 sq km

Land use:
agricultural land: 19.2%
arable land 16.5%; permanent crops 2.2%; permanent pasture 0.5%
forest: 48.2%
other: 32.6% (2011 est.)
The World Factbook

Before opening your stupid mouth educate yourself about the basic difference between the land of Bangladesh and Burma.70 percent of Bangladesh is agricultural land with extremely fertile soil,on the other hand Burma have only 19 percent agricultural land.90 percent of Bangladesh is fertile floodplain with high productive agriculture, while most of Burma is mountainous jungle not good for human settlement.

Bangladesh is more populous because we have a lot of agricultural land percentage wise.In pre-modern times population density relied on aboundance of agricultural land and easy livelihood. So Bangladesh was always a major population centre unlike your tropical rainforest.

Bangladesh is 8th largest population wise But we are 4th largest producer of Rice and 5th largest producer of Fish product in the world.Even after feeding 160 million people,Bangladesh manage to export some Rice.

‘Bangladesh can export 1 lakh tonnes of rice this year’ | Dhaka Tribune

Bangladesh is more populous than Burma because it has capacity to support large population in relatively modest area.
