Well, there is one bottle of Cointreau apart from.............

Cointreau is quite a favorite liqueur of mine. It has also gone into the fruits and dried-fruits that I am "pickling" for the Christmas Cake that I'm lining up.

Liqueur is not for me. Bought a Chambord and threw it away after keeping it for couple of years.

There's a whole lot of stuff in the shelves below that you can't see. But you will, if you plan on coming here!! That way you can have the cake and eat it too! I mean, take a gander at the stuff and have it too!

Thanks bro - but when I am in India, I am an Indian at heart - Buy Indian, drink Indian - was drinking this Mansion house brandy last year in India and I felt it tasted good. :)

But now I remembered something to share with fellow liquor affectionados - will open a thread now.

I dont think a bar has to be strictly limited to alcohol..
After all.. I would want a bar.. but one from which I can make all the smoothies/Shakes and fresh ground coffee I want.
Just the difference in the sort of drinks being served..
A lot of homes in Pakistan now have bars that do just that..
Although some do still sneak in the occasional famous grouse.. and have it with coke on the rocks.

Yaar tu bada acha bacha nikla.

For fresh ground coffee, buy a normal steel filter and a grinding machine. Man, roast the beans, let them cool for 15 mins. Grind them, then put them in the filter and let boiling hot water flow through it.......Awesome taste. Add milk and sugar to taste.

But for a bar, One should definitely have a single malt (GlennFid), blended (Blue Label), Vodka (Russian Standard Plat), Rum (Old Monk), Beer! Once this is in place, you are set for a good time :P Though in bombay weather only the beer makes sense :P

Sashan, Liqueurs are an acquired taste; but they really grow on you. The usual way to start- coffee liqueurs like Kahlua or Tia Maria. Or even Chocolate based ones like a Goldkenn or other sweetish ones like Baileys Irish Cream. Women like fruity ones like Cherry or Melon liqueur. I have a beautiful Litchi liqueur by Dita in France. Of course there is Cointreau. Later move upto Drambuie or Sheridans. There are also more exotic tasting ones like the Almond flavored Amaretto Saronno. Have them by themselves or pour some in Cakes/Gateaux for that twist. Works even on Ice-Cream.

Liqueurs are a world of delight themselves. Explore that world. :)
