What's new

My Name Is Nabilah Islam. It’s an American Name.

This is her. I'd say Beauty AND Brains. Masha-Allah!

Some where a racist white man is bursting with anger.

First they were being beaten my immigrant males. Now the immigrant females have joined the party.

If I am being correct, the western world is being set up for Islamic rule in the coming 20-30 years. Of course I could be wrong

. .
I hope you're joking.

Not really, If you walk into a class in western countries be it medicine or engineering or any other key subjects, its usually immigrant children that form atleast 30-40% of the class. Also It is immigrants that have the most stable families compared to Caucasions, despite immigrants males and women working full time to support families . Combine these factors in 20-30 years these children will obviously go to key positions .

Even then, what makes you think their children would be religious, if anything, they might identify with their parents religion but not strictly follow it. There’s no place for religion in a modern society anymore.

Well your case isn’t a fact for all. @DalalErMaNodi myself are immigrants children, idk about him but I was extremely religious, memorized quite a substantial part of Quran but that doesn’t mean I’m who I was or that my other immigrant friends who are Muslims are religious... I’m not saying no one is, the fact is very few are.
Just because someone is born in a Muslim family doesn’t mean they’re religious

Me and being religious ?

Religion is a private affair and should stay as such, you're free to follow your religion behind your four walls, on the other hand the practice of proselytising should and must be curtailed.

For a more peaceful world.

Neither me or, and I can speak for @Michael Corleone here, are "Confused about our identities", we are Bangladeshis, and that's about it.

Only those juggling two lives with two citizenships have this issue, the solution is simple : just rebuff one of the citizenships.

Religion as a supposed guide for morals and goodliness is easily replaceable by modern socialism. Speaking of Islam, it is anyway an older socialist movement so anyone who considers themselves to be True Muslims should not reject modern socialism.

If we consider the beliefs in a multi-cultural scientifically-arranged Mars colony in the 2030s, belief in God can be a more personal thing and the visible culture will have to be done according to the specific situation of living on Mars.

Religion doesn't make people moral, religion is merely a tool that makes people 'afraid' to break the 'rules', said rules aren't always related to morality.

If anything a good upbringing enshrines in children good values and ethos; what we describe as morals, religion only serves to imbibe these 'rules' through the omnipresent threat of otherworldly punishment.

Religion is a tool, not the begetter of morals nor is it essential to the makings of a clear, just and conscientious human being.

I follow Islam as a way of life, I’m not too fond of the spiritual aspects of it, just some quick hacks to benefit myself and people around me.

I believe what you mean by "spiritual aspects" are basically prayer and ritual, the outward "pious" things in which people try to outdo each other, but these outward things I believe are not important. I myself have not done prayer for half my life but I don't consider myself as any less of a Muslim and I don't see a dichotomy in me also being a modern socialist.

But there is an irony. Many people think their "religious" actions will bring them divine rewards in this world or the afterlife but most times those actions are unjust or evil things in this world.

Many aspects of religious teachings and commandments are in fact immoral, but the majority don't see it that way; enslaved to and blinded by their perspectives; oblivious to the grievance they cause to everyone else.

I wouldn't go as far as to say religion is in itself immoral, but I will say this, it more often than not goes against simple human logic, conscience and morality.

Now, I must quieten down, lest the mullah battalion come after me.
