Manmohan Singh is the only peaceful politician India has, maybe because he was born in Pakistan. Most Pakistanis like Manmohan Singh more than the previous leader of India BJP Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

And you Indians should not forget how he made India's economy to where it is now, compare your economy now to Vajpayee's era. You Indians should be thankful Manmohan Singh is your leader.

If he was peaceful thats why he had to ran to save himself and came to amritsar.

So What Alternative Path would India choose except to normalize relations with Pakistan. What India has so far achieved with fighting three wars and a continuous path of enemity,hostility and hatred for the last 64 years towards Pakistan ? What are the priorities which would be the focal point of Indian strategists if they really want to Lift India as a global Player.The choice is there to make, Either they will be stuck with Pakistan for the next 50 or they will normalize the air and leap towards settling the outstanding Disputes.
At least over this Decade India has come to realize that both of Nuclear Armed Neighbors should make efforts towards Everlasting Peace and stability and fight a common enemy like poverty , hunger and lack of jobs.
Dr Singh's Vision of normalizing the Relations with Pakistan would strengthen both India and Pakistan and would upheld the overall stability of the Region which is much needed by both.

The alternative of peace isn't war. India and Pakistan just can be like any two countries in the world, say for example Botswana and Uruguay, without much caring for each other existence! All these bhaichara brought bad things in past, the effort should be from both end else MMS will end up making a fool out of the country again.

Anyway, normalization of relations will have some slowdown effects on the procurements of defence toys!!! Also we cannot completely trust them after these many years of back-stabbing!! Besides we will gain nothing except some terrorists putting down their arms( oops forgot! they are so called "non-state actors" over whom the pak govt. has no control). Business opportunities one-sided, entertainment one-sided, tech-cooperation one-sided and the list goes on. I only see tourism and sports are the only places we may benefit.

My problem is, with Pakistan achieving peace, will Pakistan be able to steal a chunk of India IT sector and export?

Its better to leave the current scenario as it been for last 50 years, Pakistan trying to match India defence rupee for rupee with a much smaller economy, will only limit they economy and growth.
