What's new

My hometown Parachinar was attacked and I'm heartbroken by your silence

Bro, these delusional low lives like to see them dead.
Calling those poor martyred citizens, cannon fodders who are fighting for Iran. These idiots are turning Pakistan into an other Syria!. May Allah help Pakistan and it's people
ISI and army will neglect death of Parachinari citizens
Instead of raising arm against our people and country, we prefer to leave the country and pray for them. But, non shia will ever raise the arm against motherland, Pakistan. Pakistan will never be Syria ....NEVER.

Stop playing God.

It is for Allah alone to decide who is on the right path or who is not. He doesn't need, nor has he asked us for our opinions and assistance in matters related to him ...

Yes, but only those Wahhabis/Deobandis die who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or who have chosen to serve the LeAs of Pakistan. No Deobandi/Wahhabi is being killed for his 'religious beliefs'. No Wahhabi/Deobandi place of worship or religious gathering has ever been targeted by the terrorists. There is a clear sectarian angle to the ongoing Terrorism in Pakistan. Denying "Facts" won't help.
Agreed only Shia and Sunni under fire. From mosque to Data darbar ... what else...

Wow, senior members and mods openly displaying their sectarian mindsets on this forum. Things are worse than what I had imagined, the poison has spread far more into society, to the point that it is difficult to even have a rational discussion with people here.

Draw false equivalencies, blame the victim. Stay classy PDF!

If gold rust what shall the iron do.

It's really sad to see the (supposedly) 'educated' people trying to 'justify' such acts of terrorism and openly displaying prejudice, sectarianism and religious bigotry by blaming the victims

Barelvis has been targeted but they never put forward foreign funded demands. Come on you don't need more then few brain cells to know that anti-raheel and anti-army slogans are coming from Iranian funding. They never did such thing before but suddenly they are asking FC/army to leave as if it this will make Parachinar more secure. Maybe they are not happy at the fact that army toke out Iranian funded terrorists from Parachinar.

They are turning this in to sectarian because of Iran. Terrorism isn't anything new in Pakistan and most victim has been sunnis/wahabis. Check stats over the last 5 years, Parachinar has been left alone most of the times.

They aren't protesting against Army because of Iran, they are protesting because they were asked to disarm, which they did peacefully at the request of the state. The FC was responsible to provide them security, but this is the 3rd major attack in the same city in 6 months that has killed dozens. It is unacceptable, and questions must be asked. People did not protest like this after the first and second terror attacks, but the third one; and at the scale of this one, there are rightfully protests going on. Take off your anti-Iran goggles, and you will see the truth.

And disarming brought peace and end to tribal/sectarian conflicts. Now how will weapons help them detect vehicles with explosives?

3rd major attack in same city isn't a big deal, just go couple of years back and see how many bomb blasts were exploding in middle of Peshawar. Imagine if people in Peshawar asked police/army to leave, I'm sure things would have been great then. Pakistanis have memory of fish.

Sucide attacks in Pakistan by city in 2017.

Some facts about this place. This place has high mortality rate among pregnant women. Because during winter all entry and exit point closed due to heavy snow. Only exit point from this area is from Afghanistan. During winter they enter Pakistan from Afghanistan. All year long they are under attack from Taliban. It's fact Pak govt fail to provide them security. Unfortunately , certain segment of society label them as Iran proxy and celebrate there death. They don't realize this area is under FC control and layers of security and MI. If Iran has any influence then GoP or ISPR would have said something, or any prove been presented in the media. But......

You have already cut off whole bilateral ties with Iran. Don't need to cut with Iran since it's already happened. So in case of KSA, it's good. Work with other powers and keep Pakistan away from middle eastern mess. FIY You have no economic, military, political relations with Iran only an Iranian ambassador. We saw your mercy to our ambassador, after his advice about Shareef's stance, Pak army shot down our drone. Don't want to discuss the drone incident, it's a big mess for a neighboring country. Anyways you have no relations with Iran, whether your Sunni community or Shia one.
I wish forever peace for Pakistan, Shia or Sunni , both are suffering from terrorism. We tell you the roots of terrorism, please lower your relations with KSA until Arabian people and Sunni community of Hashemites of Mekka and Madina, in fact prophet's (pbuh) descendants take the power back from Saudi tribal family once again.
I am not talking about gov to gov ties.
Am talking about black sheeps taking support from both countries and spreading hatred against each other and my homeland.
and please don't blame only Saudia.
both Saudia and Iran are same two sides of one coin.Fihting proxy wars in other countries.
Supporting sectarian rifts in other nations.

The difference again is, that Parachinar is a city of 50,000 people. Peshawar and Quetta have far greater population.

Even with such a low population, Parachinar is under lockdown of FC, who have established many checkpoints to reach the main city. That is not the case of any other major city in Pakistan.

When Parachinar was secured by Kurram/Turi militias, there weren't these attacks. Ever since FC has been deployed, there have been frequent terror attacks, where terrorists can move freely into the city, but locals cannot (due to the stringent security at all the checkpoints). What does that tell you???

Yes, Barelvis; the majority sect, are the most patriotic and pro-Pakistan sect in the country in the sense that their loyalties lie exclusively with the state of Pakistan and they have no "foreign links".

As for anti-Army slogans in Parachinar, the people became angry when the FC allegedly opened fire on demonstrators injuring (4 killed as per some reports) many protesters.(Some videos are circulating on Social Media).. Mishandling of the situation by LEAs .... . Not sure about the authenticity of this news though ... Maybe @Spring Onion can help

Also, the government has been running a deweaopnisation campaign in Parachinar and the Army had asked the local tribal people to hand over their weapons to the administration assuring them that terrorists had been eliminated from the area. So their demand that "Either protect us, or let us protect ourselves" is not wholly unjustified.

And as for stats, almost 40-50% of all Pakistanis who have been killed by terrorists were Shias, despite the fact that Shia constitute no more than 15 - 20% of Pakistani Population.

Since when did population matter? suicide bomb blasts anywhere will only kill certain amount of people. Unless terrorists have infiltrated FC then I'm sure they are doing as much as they can. More needs to be done? Surely but army can't entertain demands of provide 100% security or leave.

I don't know from where are you getting stats for 50% shias killed? Even in Parachinar which is majority shia city, I'm sure many sunni were killed there.

Anyway LeA shouldn't have opened fire at protesters, and I don't know why they did it. Army has successfully secured FATA from TTP, what they are facing is now random suicide attacks which will not be solved by weapons but better management of border and check posts.

Every body knows that Pakistan is the only nuclear armed Muslim country. ISIS is not created for only making troubles in Iran-Russia and China. One of It's other specific goals is weakening Pakistan too, USA-Israel have an old plan to eliminate this power and denuclearize the only nuclear Muslim country. If ISIS, KSA's wahabi feet soldiers, takes over Pakistan and removes the central government, USA will claim of Pakistani incompetence in case of holding nuclear weapons and being a danger to whole world.
No one can stop their false flags, just a couple of days ago they accused Syria of coming chemical attacks. The irony, UN destroyed all of chemical weapons in the arsenals of Syrian army and in fact weakened it against Israel but considering whole those conditions, still they dare to accuse SAA from chemical attacks. They lie easily, and i'm sure that they have some plans for Pakistan too. That's why i want safety and strength of Pakistan.
Look what have they done to Libya, Ale-Saud and Ale-Nahyan are operating USA's plans in the region

When a city of 50,000 is cordoned off, and cut off from the rest of the country and patrolled by FC; it can assure close to 100% security.

Quetta, Peshawar, Lahore have not been in lockdown or patrolled by the FC the way Parachinar is. There are many routes that lead to these cities, which isn't the case for Parachinar.

So going by logic, there should be far fewer attacks in Parachinar as opposed to these other cities.

And going by the scale of the attacks, it is fair to say that the terrorists were able to enter Parachinar with ease, when locals aren't able to.

Another question for you: how many terrorist attacks have been foiled in Parachinar by the security forces? Maybe 1 or 2 over the years? Terrorists have had close to 100% success/strike rate in Parachinar, a town patrolled by the FC.

There are a lot of attacks foiled in Quetta, Peshawar, Lahore; despite the fact that there are more forces-per-kilometer in Parachinar than anywhere else. How does that happen?

wait am checking with relevant people

ISIS is a terrorist group who is killing Muslims including those of Saudia and everybody.

Branding ISIS as a certain sect specific by Iranian is unfortunate and harmful.

The problem the Security Forces face is this area is right on the border. Most likely the bomb and materials were smuggled in, a bit at a time. The bombers were then bought in from A-Stan.

UNTIL THE BORDER IS SEALED AND MINED, FATA WILL REMAIN VULNERABLE.
