1. He refused a film might be I and am sure due to some insignificant role he might had been offered. And I believe he rightly refused because our great actors playing a very small role in Indian films brings shame and negative attention for them not success .


2. If he was offered a lead role under a famous banner I am sure he would have accepted.

3. Mahesh Bhutt is coming at end of this month to Pakistan to take on joint production idea . And I believe we should join hands for joint productions. There was a time when Pakistan-Nepal-BD joint production was an inn thing and gave classic films.

I can give u an insight but here we have a tradition of quoting someone with sources or proof. So thats why i have posted a thread like this.

Any how can certainly conform its more then true just because u dont see such news bing covered by Express Tribune or Geo Tv doesnt mean they r baseless.

Further more Mr Bhatt, well when he was in Capital Talk Show of Hamid Mir in 2010 or 2009 they constantly asked or rather should i say begged him to start a joint Film with us. But he constantly dodged the question in entire 1 hr show. But now when he heard abt Waar and its popularity he is here to start a JV.

Why now?

This is how we r seeing his trip in showbiz community at this point of time as now after Waar, Bol etc Young directors r there to make even better Quality films then what usually Bollywood standards films r, so now basically we r confident we can do anything without their Help.

I was just talking to a Director before replying u abt Mr Bhatt this is what he said i quote '' Behti Ganga main Hath Dhoony a Raha ha Khabees''

Bottom line is this now our Showbiz people r not taking his trip seriously. He may attract a few low quality directors/actors but not the ones who already r working here in quality films like Hijrat, Moor, Saya e Khuda e Zuljalal etc etc.

That guy did one hit film to get stardom, if he is a good actor then he will be given some role and based on that and his market offers will come. This is the thinking of Producers and Directors in India. Market driven projects.

There is a different genre for art films, But generally they receive less attention from audience and more awards.

He is not a one hit wonder. He has done over 200 movies. Hell, he has been acting since I was a youngun. He has done a lot of stinkers but he always kept a special place in the movie industry. Usually after a few crappy flicks an actor disapears, this guy stayed cause it was the movie budget, story and direction which were aweful. He was and still is a good actor, plus there arnt many male actors in Pakistan to begin with. He most probably has had offers before this movie, his personal life isnt too much in the media and keeps to himself. Classy guy if you ask me. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The movie I am actually waiting for is Operation 021. It should not end up like a popcorn flick like waar and have a solid story. Should be released sometime next year. I thought it had to do with karachi since 021 is its area code but seems to have something to do with Afghanistan.

Well u can have yr own way then.

But the point is where was he when we needed him or asked him when he used to visit our country on regular basis up to 2010?

Now all of a sudden what made him think we r now good enough to came here like u claim ''against all odds?"

Why was even Bilal Lashari offered Films while he was making Waar twice which he rejected?
Because Pak Films have that potential to beat every bollywood film they screen in our country and abroad even waar is in her 5 th week of release and still people r preferring Waar over they newly released Krish 3, Ram Leela. And Waar has done a business of 200 million and their ''Boss'' which featured their top actor like Akshay Kumar (was released with Waar on Eid) was closed from screens with just 60 million long before its time because the Cinema bosses were going in loss over it as general public was preferring Waar! No, not because its a domestic production but because of its quality.

After 60s-70s era this is first time our film has beaten their film anywhere in world. The influence that indian industry has in india is rather forcing their Government to take such measures now before our industry becomes Great again like it was in 60s,70s or even 80s upto the day Waheed Murad died.

Let me tell u something more, Even in early 90s we were decent atleast our films were good enough to be screened in the cinemas of that time! New heroes introduced like Shaan and Afzal Khan got very famous amongst general Youth in early 90s. Heroines like Saheba, Sana, Noor were very popular too.

Its never been like we dont have resources and talent to make good films even Waar and Bol have proved it further. But the thing is there is something called integrity, self respect which should never be compromised. So Mr Bhatt should have been here when he was wanted but not anymore. And this is not like im speaking for myself but this is the general opinion of the top brass in our Showbiz world.

I did not see Ram Leela, but the two other films are actually flop only. They collect huge in initial weeks coz fo the huge back ground and initial pool.
