So, as we have seen, many members become senior member more than their destiny and before their time.

Don't you think it should be little more hard to become senior member??

Maybe from now on, to become senior member, your Ranking will be seen.

So if your ranking of threads/posts is high enought, than you are Qualified as a senior member???

What do you guys think??:D

i agree becoming senior member should better be linked with maturity and qualitative posts rather than the quantity.

rubbish posts should not be counted

.
naaa not like that.................. 6 months period and 1000 posts is the minimum requirement. I guess this is more than enough to see the maturity of one member.

There should be some strict policies for Elite Members only.............. for example elite member must have created at least 200-300 threads from his 5000 posts so he has some kind of contribution towards the forum or for example like Omar1984 does in economy section where he post a news everyday. So something equivalent to that must be initial requirement to become an Elite Member.

Thats all :D

. .
How about the number of thanked posts being used as a criteria to become a senior member?

yes that is also not a bad idea

To qualify for Senior Members

1) Minimum 3-6 months on forums
2) 1000 Posts
3) 200 Thanks

----------------

Elite Member

1) Minimum 1 year one forum
2) 5000 Posts
3) 200 Threads must have been created by the member
4) or 1500 thanks must be under his user ID?

Something like that :)

or best of all............. leave this decision onto Admins and continue posting like you are already doing

. . .
does it matter what rank u have on a net forum........?????????

it doesnt on ordinary net forums, but we are sharing information here. It is important to know if its authentic or not, senior members who actually know their stuff can prove to be an asset

.
Some senior members here dont know from what their right hand is from their left .. this one guy has been posting aaifa propaganda for god know how long with less than 20 posts to his name. says a lot about how a site is operated.

I agree.

Add to that, a total post to thank ratio, min being 0.5 or something like that. Or maybe a polling system, votes to see if members agree or not.

There are way too many senior members, who earned their badge just be trolling and derailing threads.

Its a pretty good way to measure the popularity of the person's posts, but the problem is that sometimes some great posts by some members are not thanked, but some flame baits and trolling posts are thanked by other.

Take a look at some banned members. A lot of them have a lot of posts thanked.

There used to be a system of Mods rating people's posts. And Mods here are more unbiased than the regular members. Maybe senior members should be selected by the number of highly ranked posts they receive.
