If you lie too much , you gradually paint yourself into a corner, now western media has lost all its credibility and more and more people slowly wake up to their lies. especially among the general public of the Chinese people home and abroad. The credibility collapse of western media is of their own making.

Many people only knows Tiananmen incident but never know under what historic context did it happen. It happened 2 years before the collapse of USSR and many argue it inspired pro west Russians to stage the nationwide protests and demand for a major system change and from that point China and Russia embarked onto two completely different paths , and the rest is history.

The color revolution carried out by the West in Hong Kong is very educational to the people in the Greater China region.

I said at the time that the Chinese Communist Party had woken up laughing, and the 64 incident was no longer a stain.

Some Uyghur youths also pointed out that Uyghurs, like Hong Kong people, were chosen by the Americans to contain China's rise.

The wider historical context is Zhao Ziyang gang coup against the conservative.

Deng can use tear gas or even baton to suppress the crowd. Instead he chose to use tanks and rifle -- for the purpose of scaring the sht out of the pro western faction in CPC, in order to carry out a party purge.

All these first generation revolutionaries 够狠 (very decisive). They set their sight on countries and millions of life, and when the time comes, they can just sacrifice a few hundreds life.

The government tried, but didn't work. and China didn't have anti riot gears and police force back then cause China never needed them, since 1989 China started to establish the anti riot police units.

You see color revolution as in Venezuela Maduro and Chavez, or Iran -- for many months... there are more people on streets yet the violence level by government is lower......

You can let protesters pee and sht there, deprive them of food by caudroning up. They leave my themselves....

Tiananmen movement lasted for 3 months and the city as in a state of total anarchy, but I agree that the government was in a poor state of preparedness when it comes to handling social riots and turbulence.

Deng want a big purge. This is only possible if there is blood shed.

The pro western faction in CPC is running out of control. You need to kick them out, and you need a very big showdown to do it.

I'm glad that the Chinese people are allowed to have well-informed and well-reasoned opinions on the Tiananmen Square Massacre of the people by the CCP.

See the comment section, truth and more balanced assessment gradually dawned on the Chinese people after years of witness of what's unfolded around the world and how western media tried to manipulate people's mind.

My father was one of the protesters in Beijing that time and got fired from his job when he returned to Guangzhou. A common misconception is that there was a "massacre" in the square, which was not accurate. Most civilian casualties were inflicted by army units fighting their way to the square, not at the square itself. Once the army fought its way into the square, everybody mostly dissipated.

The CCP is ultimately responsible for the social/political conditions that led to the protest and the piss poor heavy-handed response.
