It was not easy to buy a ticket from Putian to Xiamen even there are 70 CRH services per day to Xiamen/Xiamen North. (50 minutes to 1 hour for 140km; 40.5/48.5RMB for 2nd/1st Class).
This region, including Quanzhou(Chin-chew), Xiamen(Amoy) and Zhangzhou(Chiang-chew) are where Hokkiens around the world originate from.

Sometimes It takes more time to travel from downtown to a HSR station than travel by HSR itself. Xiamen North Railway Station is in suburban Xiamen, only linked to the city by elevated BRT with a subway system still under construction.

Mr. Chen Jiagen(Tan Kah Kee) was a patriotic businessman and philanthropist from Xiamen, who funded several schools across Chinese world, including Xiamen University. A MTR station in Singapore is named after him.

That's why I choose a route only in costal Fujian.

Actually is grandfather plus several of the family left China. Not entire family left, still a lot stayed(very extended). During times of hardship, we send money and clothes back to China. From a village in Nan'an, Quanzhou.

I have it everyday when I'm not at home. Eating outside too often is not good. Although there is too many lures on the street
