This is my 1000th post so and i would like to dedicate it to Indo-Pak friendship. Children from both the countries doing towards that and we should learn from them.

Welcome to a brand new approach to world peace.

All across India, tens of thousands of children have begun writing heartfelt letters to the students in Pakistan. All across Pakistan, tens of thousands of children are replying with heartfelt letters back. New connections are being made. New friendships are being formed.

The World's Largest Love Letter Was Sent To Pakistan.

The now famous "World's Largest Love Letter," written from the children of India to the children of Pakistan, is MASSIVE! Bigger than a football field, it measures 240 by 360 feet (73 by 110 meters). It's so big that we actually had trouble fitting it into the enormous Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium and had to leave the border pieces off.

The text of the letter is written in Urdu, English and Hindi, and reads:

Dear Children of Pakistan,
Let's join hearts in friendship. Together we can make a better world.
-The Children of India

Friends Without Borders hosted massive events in various cities throughout India and Pakistan that involved thousands of children and created front page headlines in papers all across both countries.

Mallya Aditi International School
Bangalore

Dear Friend,

I am Nidhi. I'm 15 and I study in Mallya Aditi International School in Bangalore . Pakistan has always greatly interested me as it makes up so much about Indian's history and because I have heard so much about it. Almost everyone I know had grandparents and relatives in Pakistan before the partition. Every single one of them have beautiful stories about their surroundings and the people in Pakistan . My grandfather had once told me a story that I remember vividly till this day. It was about a friend of his who was in the Indian Army some time after the separating he was told to take his men to destroy a village in Pakistan. This village happened to be where lots of his school friends went to after the partition. He didn't know if he could deal with killing his friends or anyone they knew but he know that he couldn't disobey orders. He warned his friends about the attack and told them to evacuate all the people from the village. Then hoping that no one was left he combed the entire village. Even though no one died that night and his friends were extremely grateful to him he never forgave himself for doing it until the day he died. When I heard this story I began to wonder why people from India and Pakistan hate each other when they have so many friends that are from the other nation. Do the people actually know why they are so against each other or do they believe that it is their duty to be against each other without having any reason. There are so many people that I know that clench their fists with rage when I talk about Pakistan and when I ask them why they are so mad they say that their parents or friends told them that they should be mad. Once, we lived together in peace, what is so different today? I want our countries to be able to work side by side helping each other when in need. I want to bring more peace into this world and I think this is a first step. I hope you feel the same and I hope that you will write back to me and tell me your thoughts on the issue.

Lots of love,

Nidhi

lol easy dude, think about it as an exercise in tolerance. It's a kid's work. Its just a green blob. Intent of the KID was good. Let it be that way.

I hope when they grow up, they won't be like us in the approach towards each other's nation.
