MV Suez crew shifted; ship sinking

I want all this to end as early as possible.

What a miserable time those 22 men are having right now

yaaro koi mistri bulao theek karne ke liye...aiven hi paise da nuksaan ho jana hai

Paise ka nuksaan hona bhi chahiye. That scumbag Egyptian ship owner decided to pay the ransom money for Egyptian sailors, but not for the South Asians. I hope he goes bankrupt.

if the ship is 100 something miles from the port then why cant the port authorities send a couple of tugboats to rescue MV Suez?

The tugboat was sent but it had developed a fault and stuck. so ultimately PNS Babur once again becomes saviour and seems it was destined to be like that.

:)

SLAMABAD: The MV Suez's 22-member crew, including six Indians, were on Sunday transferred to a Pakistani warship when the Egyptian merchant vessel, which was recently released by Somali pirates after payment of ransom, began taking on water in the Arabian Sea.

MV Suez was on its way to the Omani port of Salalah when it ran out of fuel and began taking on water in stormy weather, Geo News channel quoted its sources as saying.

On getting a call for assistance, Pakistan Navy chief Admiral Noman Bashir ordered the vessel's crew to be shifted to the frigate PNS Babar, which was escorting it.

The Egyptian owners of the Suez had abandoned its crew and the vessel.

The Suez's captain had also opened the vessel's valves to scuttle it, the channel reported.

The ship's crew was transferred to the PNS Babar on Sunday afternoon, the channel said.

It was yet to be decided whether the crew, including the Indians, would be brought to Karachi or Gwadar port in Pakistan, navy sources were quoted as saying.

Earlier, the captain of the Suez appealed to Pakistan's foreign ministry and the naval chief for immediate help as he feared the vessel would capsize after being caught in strong winds.

MV Suez Captain Syed Wasi Hasan said on phone that the weather had turned threatening due to the monsoons.

"We were on the open seas for the past three days. The owner of the ship has thus far not sent any fuel," he said.

Hasan said he had appealed to Pakistan authorities to save the lives of his crew.

:rofl::rofl: YOUR INDIAN propaganda had already been busted. your Indian navy failed to show guts and despite repeated requests did not respond and after Pakistani Navy PNS Babur steered the hostages including INDIANS out of dangerous waters then your stinking propagandists tried to come and hit PNS.

anyway stop your Indian propaganda and next time save some bucks from your propaganda machine to save your citizens instead of throwing your own dirrt on Pakistanis for our humanitarian work.

now move on with your propaganda

An Egyptian ship with Pakistani captain.

Is it our sole responsibility for their return as the Indian crew members are small compared to others.

Babur is doing a good job. Our job was to ensure the safety of the ship , our navy was late in reaching there, but its ok as a search in this forum reveals we have saved many a ships in the past.

o how mean. A government was not able to do one good act in this whole incident and is now criticizing other. Better keep quiet. they have lost the right to say anything

And You risked your citizens by relying on some wrong sources saying MV Suez is safe and left the area. Only one word can describe this Unprofessional

and the point you want to explain here is?

thats what we are doing.

as the Indian crew members are small compared to others.

So your point?

1. the issue is not we have saved YOU and Your ship failed to reach in time. The issue is that Your INDIANS are playing dirty here by abusing Pakistan for the humanitarian work.

2. the replies come only when your Indian members here are making up things otherwise we have no desire to compare who is doing what.

On Thursday, the Indian Navy had put out a statement claiming that it had been tasked to escort m.v.Suez that very morning. “On reaching m.v. Suez, INS Godavari made every effort through all available means and channels to communicate with Suez. However, the Master of m.v. Suez did not respond.” After confirming that m.v. Suez was being escorted by other warships deployed in the Gulf of Aden, INS Godavari returned to its task of protecting two other merchant vessels carrying 21 Indians.

The Hindu : Front Page : India, Pakistan accuse each other's Navies of aggression on high seas

It's the Stupidity of the Pakistani Captain to ignore Indian Navy's Call which could have jeopardised 22 Innocent Lives.

The point is simple. You expected that Indian navy save an egyptian ship with Pakistani captain and a few indian members. But the real point is that job can be done by anybody who is available there at that point of time.

There is no written law that Indians should only save Indians or Malaysians should only save malaysians etc etc.

Babur was near , responded and done that job. The point and arguments ends there. I saw most posting Indians didnt pay for ransom and all and all including you having a field time.

This was not the first time that Indians are involved in hostage situation along with other nationalities, who do you think paid for them at that time Uganda???

So i can only laugh while reading all the arguments saying "see we paid" and all.

Not so long ago i have started a thread on even my state separately paying for flood aid happened in Pakistan, i never said "see we paid, blahh blah blah" and tried to score some brownie points there.
