Muzaffarnagar riots: Muslims scared of returning home, says leader

A Significant bit of Kerala culture is common with the West coast of India(Konkan) and surprisingly similar to Tulunadu(Mangalore-Udupi).

However, Tamils are fed that Kerala was a part of Tamilnadu and every cultural forms and traditions in Kerala is actually Tamil! they cannot digest facts.

Cultural sharing among neighbors is common and expected. That bit about Tamil is gross generalization. Tamils have a proud and distinct history too which they are rightfully proud of, the same as Kerala or any other Indian states.

I know enough about Kerala and TN.

The Goa connection maybe amongst christians, and there is connect with tulus but thats skin deep, connect with TN is much stronger.

TN and Kerala are neighbors so naturally cross cultural influence will be stronger. But the fact is Kerala and TN were separated by a Huge Mountain range that help preserve Kerala unique cultural identity. The parts of kerala that were exposed were the North and South tip.

The South tip had frequent wars with TN i.e. the war between Cholas and Cheras and the Northern tip were exposed to Tulu etc. However since most emigration into Kerala happened via the north the links and cultural exchanges were far stronger.

Too bad.

If the Muslims had stuck to not killing them while they returned from the panchayat (local village court), they'd have at least not led to the riots.

Jats are aggressive and don't bow down to islamic bullying.

As you sow so shall you reap.

Simple.

.
they shouldn't have messed with the jats.
there are two communities in u.p with which you would not want to fight 1st jats and 2nd gurjar.

even the so called ahir(yadavs) brothers of mulayam sh8t there pants when it comes to fight jats and gujjar.

The culture within Kerala varies from district to district. The culture of Trivandrum and Palakkad is very similar to Tamil Brahmin culture.

Brahmin culture all over India is pretty similar :disagree: ..........they all take inspiration, guidance from the same set of books and cultural values. Brahmin culture to some extend has managed to retain Hindu culture, especially in South India. Other castes have not managed to preserve much of its Hindu identity and culture. They are 'hindus' without knowing what it means to be a hindu or without having any knowledge of Hinduism, its texts, its core practices etc.. 99% gain their knowledge from TV serials and reading western interpretation of Hinduism via Wikipedia.

Kerala Hindus are more close to a truly Hindu society than the rest of India, so naturally it would appear to be more similar to 'Tam Brahm' to someone from TN.

Tamil Brahmins have a significant presence in Trivandrum. The kingdom of travancore employed a lot of tamil iyers. From the local dialect to the cuisine, you can see the influence. It is funny how malleus are so offended by this obvious connection but readily accept the Sanskrit influence. Tamilakam was not a myth. On the other hand, today's tamil is not the same as ancient tamil and it is wrong to portray that today's Malayalam branched our of tamil spoken today. I in fact find more ancient tamil words in Malayalam that are not used in modern tamil.

1. Tamil Brahmins have a 'presence' in Trivandrum, not a 'significant presence'. They constitute less than 0.5% of the population of Trivandrum. :disagree: ....there goes your credibility.

2. Kingdome of Travancore (south tip of kerala) employed some Tamil Iyers, some but a LOT of Namboothiris who are Kerala Brahmins. Only a handful of them became diwans of the King, this position was later usurped by the Thampi's (who are Nairs).

3. Most Tamil Brahmins in Kerala belonged to the Vadama and Brahacharanam sub-sects. Iyers were usually employed as cooks, musicians and temple assistants, since they were not allowed to conduct pooja as the priest (shanthi) in Kerala temples followed Tantric rituals.

4. In fact Kerala Iyers and other Tamil Brahmins were ranked below the orthodox Nambudiri Brahmins in the caste hierarchy and the touch of a Tamil/Kerala Iyer meant that the Nambudiri was defiled by Eda Shudam which required the Nambudiri to bathe before resuming rituals.

4. As you can now conclude, their influence was minimal except maintain the general guidelines of Hinduism which remains common all over India and for all Hindus.

5. Iyers who settled in the north of Kerala i.e. Palakad did much better.

6. Malayalam is a mix of sanskrti and parts of tamil. 'Mallus' have no reason to be offended by facts, the same way tamils have no reason to be offended by facts.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Actually some of the greatest tamil poets like ilangovadigal(wrote silsppadigaram) were from present day Kerala. They were patronized the chera kings.

Guys... I think you're deviating from the topic. Let's stick to it yeah?

Haven't these guys returned back to their villages yet??? lagta hai dobara maar peet ke bulana padega waapis.

Can it be this way "nobody dare mess with the laws of the land"? State should be supreme not some jats or gujjars.

when state is run by some b@Stards who play vote bank politics then this is bound to happen again and again.

muslims in mulayam rule think they are untouchable and they can do whatever they like and nobody will take action against them.

.
if muslims are itching for a riot then it is our duty to fullfill it
