Forces neutralize mastermind of Mastung tragedy

Quetta, July 19 (TNS): The mastermind of Mastung deadly blast, which claimed nearly 150 lives, has been neutralized.

Mufti Hidayat, the mastermind of Mastung suicide attack, was also chief of Balochistan chapter of international terror outfit so-called Islamic State (Daesh).

Pakistan security forces killed Mufti Hidayat during an operation in Balochistan on Friday.

A total of 149 people including election candidate Nawab Siraj Raisani were martyred in a suicide bombing at an election meeting in Mastung on July 13.

Earlier, on Thursday, Counter Terrorism Department DIG Aitzaz Goraya said that suicide bomber behind Mastung attack has been identified.

The suicide bomber was part of Daesh and had been affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi as well, he added.
