I partially agree with you! Yes there is a succession strugle going on in MQM as A.H has not yet named a successor. However Mustafa Kamal is not put forward by MQM, he just saw an opening here and as he is one of the few people with credibility in Karachi he decided to utilise it. The person who is going to take over the reigns from A.H is Waseem Akhtar who is a criminal and a murderer! Lets just hope Mustafa Kamal makes gains in Karachi before Waseem Akhtar takes over the party!

آپ بے شک ہمیں ’را ‘ کا ایجنٹ کہہ لیجئے لیکن ہم یہ بات کبھی تسلیم نہیں کریں گے کہ مصطفےٰ کمال پورے فوجی اعزاز کے ساتھ وطن واپس آئے ہیں ۔ جس طرح ممتاز قادری نے اپنی مرضی اور اپنی خواہش پر موت کا راستہ اختیار کیا اور اب اس کے حامی بلا وجہ اس کی عظیم شہادت کا رتبہ زائل کرنے کے لئے اس کی پھانسی پراحتجاج کر رہے ہیں بالکل اسی طرح مصطفےٰ کمال بھی اپنی مرضی سے اپنے ضمیر کی آواز پر لبیک کہتے ہوئے الطاف بھائی سے الگ ہوئے اور تین سال کی سوچ بچار کے بعد انہوںنے گزشتہ روز کراچی میں دھواں دھار پریس کانفرنس کر ڈالی اور اب کم فہم لوگ اس میں سے خاکی رنگ تلاش کر رہے ہیں۔ آپ جو مرضی سوچیںلیکن حقیقت تو یہی ہے کہ حقیقت اور حقیقی اب کچھ بھی نہیں ۔ سب کچھ غیر حقیقی اور غیر مرئی انداز میں ہو رہا ہے ۔ ضمیر کا کیا ہے یہ تو بیس برس بعد بھی جاگ سکتا ہے ۔ ہم جانتے بھی ہیں اور مانتے بھی ہیں کہ مسصطفےٰ کمال بیس سال تک الطاف بھائی کے پیاروں میں شامل رہے ۔ اس دوران عظیم طارق سمیتایم کیو ایم کے کئی رہنماﺅں اور کارکنوں کو قتل بھی کیا گیا ۔ لیکن اس وقت حالات کا تقاضا یہی تھا کہ ملک کے وسیع تر مفاد میں خاموشی اختیار کی جائے ۔ مصطفےٰ کمال کو چونکہ ملکی مفاد عزیز تھا اس لئے وہ چپ رہے ۔ کراچی کی سڑکوں پر جب بھی خون کی ہولی کھیلی جاتی تھی مصطفےٰ کمال خون کے گھونٹ بھر کے خاموش ہو جاتے تھے ۔ انہوں نے اپنی تمام تر توجہ کراچی کی ترقی پر مرکوز رکھی کراچی کی لہو رنگ سڑکیں دیکھ کر کبھی ان کا ضمیر جاگتا بھی تھا تو وہ شہر قائد کے میئر کی حیثیت فوری طور پر ان سڑکوں کو دھلوا دیتے تھے اور سوچتے تھے کہ خون کے دھبے دھلیں گے کتنی برساتوں کے بعد ۔ لیکن دوستو ضبط کی بھی تو ایک حد ہوتی ہے ۔ الطاف حسین شہر میں بھتہ وصول کرتے رہے مصطفےٰ کمال خاموش رہے ۔ الطاف بھائی نشے میں دھت ہو کر کارکنوں اور پارٹی لیڈروں کو بے عزت کرتے رہے مصطفےٰ کمال ہر گز نہ بولے ۔ بھارتی خفیہ ایجنسی ’را‘ کی جانب سے فنڈز آئے لیکن کشتہ ستم کی غیرت دھنیا پی کر سوئی رہی ۔ پھر ایک روزالطاف بھائی نے حسب معمول نشے میں دھت ہو کر ٹیلی فونک خطاب کیا اور اس میں پاک فوج کے جرنیلوں کو بھی برا بھلا کہہ دیا۔ یہی وہ لمحہ تھا جب کراچی کے فرزند نے ایک خواب دیکھا ۔خواب میں ایک مردِ کاملنے مصطفےٰ کمال کے ہاتھوں میں سبز ہلالی پرچم تھما دیا اور کہا اس ملک کو رکھنا مرے بچے سنبھال کے ۔ یہی وہ لمحہ تھا جس نے مصطفےٰ کمال کی دنیا ہی بدل ڈالی ۔ لوگ جو بھی کہیں لیکن ہم تو اسی بات پر یقین رکھتے ہیں کہ مصطفےٰ کمال نے ایک محب وطن پاکستانی کی حیثیت سے اپنے ضمیر کی آواز پر کہا ہے ۔ آپ نے ان کے ہاتھ میں جو پاکستانی پرچم دیکھا وہی اس بات کی گواہی دیتا ہے کہ انہوں نے یہ فیصلہ اپنے ضمیر کی آواز پر کیا ہے ۔ یہ سبز ہلالی پرچم ہی تو ہمارے ضمیر کی آواز ہے اور یہی اس بات کی گواہی دیتا ہے کہ ہوا کا رخ کس جانب ہے ۔ یہ پرچم ہمیں عمران خان کے سٹیج پر بھی نظر آتا تھا اور یہی پرچم پورے فوجی اعزاز کے ساتھ شہدا کی میتوں پر بھی ڈالا جاتا ہے ۔

The MQM’s former Mayor confessed at a Press Conference yesterday that MQM received funds from RAW for the past 20 years, while he was a major leader of MQM as a Mayor on MQM platform.
May I know how a RAW funded and sponsored party leaders were close to the then Chief of the Army and the President of Pakistan.
Where was Pakistani intelligence, if that’s true?
Do you conclude something from the picture?
THE OVERARCHING QUESTION:
Did RAW succeed in deception over Pakistani intelligence networks at the time of General Musharraf?

Most simplistic and I think foolish assessment of the political situation.

The old guard of Pakistan politics - PPP, MQM and PMLN is going to die its death. MQM being part of it and been involved in Pakistani politics for 30 years under the same man is sure going to see its last day.

Why would establishment want to do this? Intelligence agency will fail in politics as the experience shows. So ISI or any intelligence will not get involved.

If PTI was a 'establishment' political party, it would not have had this type of support at local level. The only 'establishment' party was IJI and you know what happened to it.

MQM has been going through this erosion process for quite some time. In a civilized, just society, a mere mention of a party taking funds from an enemy country will be enough to ostracize that party from country's politics. Here we need to spin the web of conspiracy on top of another conspiracy to convince ourselves of the actual fact.

MQM London set up has admitted to taking funds from RAW. Whats the conspiracy in it? They did not confess it in from of Karachi police but Scotland Yard. This makes their confession very credible. MQM has been involved in crime like extortion and target killing. It has given Karachi nothing but dead bodies. Do you still think it deserves to survive? MQM can do politics but crime is not on.

In their own ways, these 3 status quo parties of the past will be slowly eliminated. No need for establishment to think over and make an effort.

What explanation you expect... it was like one snake was charmed to kill the other one though turned into anaconda. Agencies aren't terminators and they did their job. It was our beloved political leadership to act accordingly as per information but they did in the interest of so called democracy only for their own benefits and dirty politics. KARACHI: One of the most striking features of former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal’s explosive press conference last week was his use of the word ‘sahib’ for a man he had referred to as ‘bhai’ for 29 years.

“I have stopped calling him Altaf bhai because there is no bhai wala relationship now,” Kamal told The Express Tribune in an interview on Saturday afternoon. But the tirade against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief seems to have toned down, at least until Kamal’s next press conference likely to take place this week.

Quiet for a reason: Anis Kaimkhani vows to break silence soon

The former nazim along with another disgruntled leader, Anis Kaimkhani, returned to the country on Thursday after their departure in 2013. Settling in a rented house on Khayaban-e-Sehar in DHA with media vans lined outside, Kamal appeared less aggressive than Thursday.

When asked if he considers Altaf Hussain a criminal, Kamal suddenly became quiet and refused to give a direct answer.

It was in the year 1987 that Kamal joined the MQM after a neighbour insisted. He was only in class nine and his family was opposed to the decision. “I saw Altaf for the first time at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital,” he recalled. “Like a common worker, I was impressed by him.”

But as Kamal climbed the ranks and files within the party, the drawing room discussions frustrated him. The former nazim talks especially about the era of 2008 to 2013, when the party kept on leaving and then re-joining the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government.

“I was a loyal to him. I could have done anything for him. But there was not one issue, there were many issues why I left the party,” he said. “People were dying without any reason. Day and night, the man did not remain in his senses. I trusted and believed but my trust was shattered many times.”

Kamal says he was also tired of defending Altaf. “If I continued to stay in the MQM, I would have remained gunahgaar [sinner].” He was quick to clarify, however, that he will not speak ill of other party leaders as he was close to them.

It was on the fourth day of Eid in 2013, when he packed his bags and left the country, settling with his family in an affluent neighbourhood of Dubai, and started working for Bahria Town.

His recent arrival to the city’s political landscape created hype and Kamal flushed as he mentioned the overwhelming response they have received. “I have 505 unread text messages and 58 missed calls,” he pointed to his phone. “I haven’t had the time to see who is contacting me. People keep coming and supporting me.”

His temporary abode has coloured printed pictures with ‘Mustafa Kamal Zindabad’, and ‘Salute’ written with a pen pasted on the walls. Anchors and reporters throng the moderately furnished house for his interviews. Outside a police van is on the lookout.

When asked if he has the support of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, who is another estranged MQM member, Kamal’s denial was not very convincing. “If the governor was supporting me, I would have gotten [security] protocol from him from the airport,” he said. “There is no one with me.” His newly formed party remains nameless and so do the names of people joining it. Kamal refused to share these details, promising another explosive press conference, likely to be held on Monday (today). He did share his determination to stay. “I have a bigger plan. It will be glory for Pakistan.”

all of the activities of MQM was started in musharaf's time, they send their men to get trained in India but Mushy keep quiet and allow them to ruin the country..

This country would have been grown much better than it's current shape but the greed of power, ego and money along with luxuries deluded the minds of these politicians being corrupt. Long before Mushy, many others were aware too. I merely tried to pointed out that such sort of news was put under the carpet while reasoning as "in the best interest of democracy or national interest". These guys are not that innocent as much as they are trying to be.

I am unable to recall that Interview but one thing for sure, Mushy's quoted the Mahajir thing as most of the Pakistanis migrated from India to Pakistan after partition so will be called Mahajir indeed but could not be defined as a caste in itself though the same was used as a victim card and people were fooled even till today. We all have to understand one thing, it is Pakistan before our ethnic or any other wish and being a Muslim these things doesn't matter at all like caste, language, colour, tribe, status etc.
