I support this. Heck, why not make it a national holiday for our upcoming majority

No place is perfect, such sarcasm reflects your foolishness.. can you claim that your home country is better then USA in term of living standard? threatening is wrong if i were with that guy I would have advised him to avoid such statements. Its simple sometime people say something and at very next moment they realize that mistake but media got point of exaggeration.. Its impossible that less then 1% of American muslims would become majority any sooner.. Its obvious that the statement is completely illogical and suicidal.
Thanks for agreeing that the statement is not correct. We were discussing only her statement. So all the sane people should condemn her statement. But these kinds of incidents are growing every day across the globe. And there is a pattern to it, it is causing more harm to them than doing any good.No place is perfect, such sarcasm reflects your foolishness.. can you claim that your home country is better then USA in term of living standard? threatening is wrong if i were with that guy I would have advised him to avoid such statements. It is not a warning. It is a fact. They will be a majority soon. There won't at least be any meetings then. Just diktats.'We're going to be the majority soon!' Furious Muslim parents taunt New Jersey school board over religious holiday closure
Things got heated at a Board of Education meeting last week in Jersey City after officials decided not to close schools for the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha.
Despite a number of Muslims showing up to the meeting to advocate that the school changes its schedule, officials denied their pleas, arguing that doing so on such short notice would cause “undue hardship” for the upwards of 10,000 parents who may not have a place to put their children for the day.
Some Muslims were so angry over the decision that one official called on security to “take charge” of the situation. According to video footage, at least one person was seen being escorted from the meeting.
“We feel alienated from the Board of Education, we feel alienated from this system,” Omar Abouelkhair told WNBC-TV.
“We’re going to be the majority soon,” warned another.
But it's not as though the school board was totally unaccommodating--Muslim students would still be allowed to take the day off as an excused religious absence. It's seems that wasn't enough for these students and parents, however.
The uproar that took place at the local Board of Education meeting comes as a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows that based on census data, Muslims are the fastest growing bloc of immigrants in America.

Silent muslims? Please don't bring mythology here. There are Muslims. And there are non Muslims and non practicing Muslims.silent majority muslims should speak out against these muslims, otherwise their voices will brow louder in future.

These people bring bad name to Islam
When Christmas is a holiday, which is a religious day for Christians, why should they not give holiday on Eid,which is also a religious day(though it being to a different Religion).
Anyway, parents should just request them politely and if their request is denied, they should just let their children take the day off.
Though, America should keep care of its citizens and respect the religious values of its citizens.
I am disappointed with the comments of my fellows in this thread.
I thought the parents requesting were American Muslims?By the same logic, there are millions of Hindus from India in ME countries, and in US and Europe, should there be national holidays everywhere for Hindus too?

I think America should respect all religions.Ha bhai, there are plenty if American Hindus, Shikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Jews too who have gone there as immigrants and settled there, should everybody start demanding holidays?
