This is not a fact. India covers up much of its atrocities which are conducted against muslims. I do not think muslims are safe in their own hometowns, like Lucknow Hyderabad and other places. The Gujarat and Mumbai massacres prove beyond doubt that the muslims, though usually untroubled can be attacked at any time and be slaughtered.

I've lived in Lucknow and I did not see anything that you're talking about.

Interestingly sometime back, the Akhilesh Yadav government (A hindu govt in your lexicon!!) had initiated efforts to withdraw case against them but the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court had stayed the government’s move.

But still it is closer to the truth than saying muslims have full rights in India. Generally some find themselves secure.

It's true that wherever there are muslim in numbers there is conflict with other communities. .But, even with all the issues...we don't see muslims lining up to leave from India and going to pakistan..like how your minorities are fleeing your country.

The safe for muslims part here is...that all kind of muslim...shia sunni ahmedi...etc are safe to follow their faith...and this is because of the big elephant in the room which provides them with the space for them to follow r heir individual faiths.

Read my old posts again Sir. I have openly said that noone should be restricted from wearing bindi, tikka, kadaa or whatever. I have first hand experience of studying in Convent school myself. All my classmates were free to wear it. As far as religious idols and photos are concerned, just go and have a look at Saraswati Shishu mandirs and DAV Schools all around India. They too display their religious photos etc. Afterall, they are schools run by "Religious Organizations". Nothing bad in it. Problem arises, if you force schools run by other religion to display your statues or symbols.

- Patriotism means respecting your freedom fighters whether they chose violent or non-violent means. Gandhiji was ordained Mahatma by the general populace of our Country. He was a father figure for all freedom fighters. He may have taken some decisions which might not have been acceptable to all. This does not mean you stop disrespecting him and his contribution to our Nation building.
