Muslims, how many kilos do you lose during Ramzan?

.
Around 4-5 kg. 1 per week roughly. That is done simply by ignoring fatty foods at iftar (samose, pakore etc), going to tarawih prayers and doing light gym before the morning meal. Otherwise i eat as much as everyone else. Just stay away from the oily stuff.

Guys, I'm doing a survey for a sports group I belong to.

Its about this new fad of Intermittent Fasting, where you fast for 16 hours, and eat in a 8 hour window.

Sounds pretty similar to what many of you would be doing during Ramzan, though Im guessing the fasted period would be about 15 hours max? 4 am to 7 pm?

So I would really appreciate it if you could let me know your experience. Any weight lost? How much? Has it remained the same year on year? Do you tend to eat more than normal when you can? Binge eating?

On an average how many kilos would you lose in the month? And what is your base weight?

Your inputs would be most helpful! Thanks.

Cheers, Doc
dont know about others but i actually gain weight in Ramzan instead of losing lol

Woah! We have a winner!!!

Share your regime secrets please Guruji.

One month and 8 kilos!!!

It wasn't planned or intentional. What little I can remember is ... One meal at 2:30 am with a cup of green tea, lots of water and yogurt. No drinking water, eating anything during the day, At around 7:20 pm break fast eating fruits, dates ( no samosay, no pakoray nothing cooked in oil or ghee), no rush to drink water straight away, once I have something in my belly then would drink water. No tea, one cup green tea again, one chappati with protein based salan one and a half hour before I go to sleep again.

Man that's like a month of near starvation. This you do every year or was this just once?

And I'm assuming you were working as normal during this period. But what about working out?

Cheers, Doc

No I feel fresh .... it's like my body has gotten rid of some very nasty stuff, honestly I felt like I can run longer now. Ramadan is every year (it keeps shifting though) during summers obviously heat makes it difficult, the biggest issue I face is sleep deprivation. Work hours are reduced (but the amount of work remains almost same) ....... and I take off from working out. The schedule is too tight buddy.
