Muslims evicted by LTTE from Northern Sri Lanka to be re-settled

divisive , shameful post. Good job adding caste and communal flavor to an ethnic issue. The only conclusion one could make from your post is upper caste Hindus aka Brahmins are less Tamil than the rest and hence don't care about Tamil issues.

Do you know India supported LTTE because Sri Lanka was a hurdle in Bangladesh's independence?

That is exactly what the communities i mentioned earlier have been saying for the last 8-9 decades

Are most Muslims in Sri Lanka ethnic Tamils or Sinhalese? Which side did the Muslim Tamils end up in during the civil war?

These are Sri Lankan Moor ethnic.
Conflict between small percentage Tamils who live in north, all other ethnic peacefully living in SL.

I just don't understand the purpose of your post. are you degrading Brahmins or lower caste people?

then what will happen to tamils?

LOL... both.

These Sinhalese are people who lost their homes due to war in those areas. so they will resettle after the Moors.

Sinhalese distribution around the country.

so what will now happen to tamils. will they be treated on par with sinhalese now? or will sinhalese continue with discrimination in colleges and jobs?

can you please say what i sthere in the 40.2% in the middle

some Sinhalese people are already living in those areas, some Tamilnadu Tamils think Tamils live in north and east, Sinhalese are in south etc coz of that tiger map lol but actually Sinhalese, Tamils, Moors all are live around the country.

If he speaks Tamil there is no reason they can learn well in other language right, so they learn in Tamil. Our schools has Sinhala, Tamil, English medium they can choose what ever medium they want to learn.

That's second Tamil group who brought to SL by British as works in tea estate, we called them "estate Tamils", officially "Indian Tamil" group.

Government jobs are based on the vacancies in those areas, example if government need more people where the Tamil speaking percentage higher area they give those to tamil speaking people either they are Tamils, Moors or Sinhalese.

There isn't any quotas based on ethnic, for universities they take students based on the medium they faced and how many passed in those districts. example Colombo, Kandy, Matara, Jaffna districts has higher ranks always, competition is higher even sometimes 3- A for all subjects not enough to qualify Uni. But some districts in North and under developed districts have lower rank, so students who may have 3 C passes for all subjects may enough to enter to University.

British wanted keep Tamils against Sinhalese to keep the control over SL, so they allowed more privileges to Jaffna Tamils in those days their governments. But when the English got moved by after the independence those English speaking Tamils eventually lost their importance to the government. so they label it as discrimination against Tamils coz of majority of effect this Tamils who had English background.
Sometimes you may seen on this forum some TN Tamils are mentioning about a "Sinhala Only act", actually there wasn't such act it was the National language act of Sri Lanka which makes the Sinhala as national language of Sri Lanka by removing ENGLISH.

but then that will suddenly strip the tamils of anything they had, right ? thats why they revolted isnt it. i hear that they were prosperous and very well educated before that.

That's fake claim. Not only Tamils English speaking Sinhalese also against this. We cannot change system that we used over a night to another language, so it's eventually happening thing. Either majority of Sinhalese or Tamils or Moors or can not speak English, so keeping such such language no use for the people.

Our literacy rate is 96% now and Sri Lanka among top list in this region, anyone can claim Tamils don't get better education in SL? Don't forget there is Tamil speaking Moor ethnic in here too, are they mentioning that discrimination thing?

Also our unemployment rate is around 4%, what does it tells about our country? Our poor percentage is around 6%...government targets to reduce it to below 1% next 3-4 years. When we take decisions we should take decisions about thinking the the whole country, we cannot allow extremism of some percentage of specific group.
