There's no dearth of people in our country who believe in dividing the nation on communal lines. But then, thankfully, there are others who believe that loving one another is the only way for a peaceful co-existence. In a country which has witnessed many gruesome acts of communal violence in the past, incidents of people showing respect to different religions keep our hopes up to build a peaceful nation together.

Setting up a tremendous example of this are the Muslims in a Rajasthan village who donated land to their Hindu neighbours to construct a temple on it.

When people of the Jat community in Rajasthan's Kolida village didn't have enough land to construct the temple of a local deity, Surjal Mata, help came forward from their fellow Muslims. They donated around 35,000 square feet land, which belonged to their abandoned graveyard. As reported by Hindustan Times, Shivpal Singh Meel, a former sarpanch of the village, said:

There is tremendous brotherhood between the communities here. Muslims had donated 1 bigha land 10 years ago and we had made a small temple. About two years ago, we started expanding the temple and grew short of land. They then gave another half a bigha at that time. Some six months ago, they gave the remaining half bigha too.

What's even more touching is the fact that the Muslim community came forward to help on their own. When they learned that the Jats wanted to expand their temple, they decided to donate the old graveyard which was lying unused since the past 50-60 years. Mohammed Ishaq, deputy sarpanch of the village, said:

When we came to know that the Jats were developing the temple further and needed more land, we called a meeting of community elders, who after a discussion, decided to donate the land to the Meels.

Minority "donating" to oppressive majority is known as extortion. The question is what extremist hindu majority is doing for the welfare of minorities?

I fully disagree with your post, extrimist hindus are not the majority in India. They are a very small minority and are beings shown the mirror by hindus.

Not on a Graveyard but on land which were "allocated" for graveyard.

It said "abandoned graveyard". So clearly there were bodies buried on that land. There is no way a temple can come up on such a land unless all those bodies were dug out.

Actually Muslim's allocate lands for 'future' graveyards. it is not possible that they literally provide "graveyard land' but a land allocated for graveyard.

they decided to donate the old graveyard which was lying unused since the past 50-60 years.

But still. you people can provide the 'real" story as it's on Your side. "i can only guess'".
