Muslims 2nd most highly educated religious group in US -PEW Research Center

No. That's why I assumed that they are better integrated but the post I quoted contradicts what I initially thought.
Because he wants a community center? Even so, they are still far more integrated than some other groups of people. If you met @Falcon29 in person you probably wouldn't realize he's Muslim until he tells you, or you see him entering a Mosque. In my opinion it's the Middle Eastern and Europe's Muslims that are alienating American Muslims.

.
I have witnessed the same in the UK, conservative Muslims Asians are academically far worse than non-Muslim Asians. Someone here mentioned Jews. Most Jews in the west are not religious, it has turned into more of an ethnic group and it gives them more leverage to adapt to any society instead of sticking out like a sore thumb.

Also note that in today's world rest of the religious groups have liberalised whereas only muslims are highly religious.
You're broadly right, but it's the more religious Muslims whose children tend to do well, the non religious ones are the ones who tend to be undisciplined and not do well at school.

Furthremore, certain US Muslim groups such as Iranian Americans and Pakistani Americans are actually very highly educated (you can check official stats)

I read his post over and over again but I am yet to find any reference to a community centre. All I see is that he encourages muslim to discriminate against non-muslims when employing people. Can you point the part where he says anything about a community centre? Hazzy doesn't seem like the typical jihadi but if he really means what he says on this forum then I don't think he has any love for America.

Just about every group discriminates against other people, but it's when Muslims do it you have a problem? There are black community centers, white community center, elderly community center, christian community center, Jewish community centers ... etc. Hazzy hates our foreign policy not the country itself.

I've witnessed the exact opposite in the UK. It's the non-religous Muslims (who are relatively conservative) including Pakistanis do well in schools/universities whereas religous muslims are lagging behind.

Also Iranians in US are not a good representation of Muslims as they are not religous at all which could justify my first point. Same case in the UK too.

I checked some sources but Pakistanis are not included in the list of most educated communities. Could you please post your source?

You keep mentioning "community centre" but I am yet to see any reference to s community centre in his post.

No there's nothing wrong with having community centres. It's segregation that is wrong whether it's done by Muslims or non-muslims. I am strongly against any ethnic minority group making dynasties inside a country by segregation. It will only lead to communal tensions and later on USA will have to face the situation that's Europe is facing.

Don't know who Hazzy is but you need to read post #12 where the poster proudly claims to discriminate against all non-muslims in employment opportunities (which is illegal, in case you're wondering). There was no mention of community centers.

Here's the funny thing, this thread is full of questionable claims. You don't seem to have a problem with that. But you're arguing with this one guy over whether someone mentioned a community center.

.
Wow! You're so proud of actively discriminating against non-muslims. Wonder how you'd feel if I did the same to thing to Muslims. I bet you'd go running to CAIR and ACLU.

LOL so when Jews do it no problem but Muslims do the same and we are discriminating?? Besides everyone does the same shit spanish people look out for their own, and ever notice black manager never hire non blacks? Not to mention Indians do with fellow Indians even helping a bunch come through on the H1B. The only thing is white people are hit with affirmative action by the blacks if they ever try it (which I think is bs).

The BSA is allowed to discriminate against gays and it's not illegal. Nobody directly said community center, but what they're talking about is the basic definition of a community center.

"There are 2.75 million Muslims living in the United States, a majority of whom, 63 percent, are first-generation immigrants. — Pew Research Center.

But the numbers are controversial — because the U.S. census does not collect religious data, hard numbers are difficult to come by. In 2001, the American Jewish Committee calculated America’s Muslim population at 1.86 million, while the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) puts the number at 7 million. This wide range in part reflects how population size can be politicized to exaggerate or underplay a group’s influence and clout.

American Muslims are the most racially diverse group surveyed in the United States, according to the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies. Eighty-two percent say they are satisfied with the way things are going in their lives, although 55 percent say life for Muslims in the U.S. has become more difficult since 9/11.

Forty percent of Muslims say they have a college degree, making them the second most highly educated religious group surveyed after Jews (61 percent), compared with 29 percent of Americans overall who say they have a college degree, according to Gallup [PDF]. That carries across gender lines, with Muslim females being the second-most educated religious group in the country, after Jewish females."

Study was done back in 2011, but point shows a stark contrast between the Muslim community in US and the Muslim community in Europe.

You do realise that this is only going to create more segregation and in the end more tension which could backfire against you? I thought you are one of the sensible Muslims on this forum but it seems you are not. It's a scary thought, I think we are heading towards a worldwide conflict with Muslims everyday. What you said about the Pakistani businessman gives a glimpse of what's happening to non-Muslims inside Pakistan but I see many others on this forum are sugar-coating the situation and complain when the same is happening against them.

There goes "American Muslims are better integrated" myth.

How is it segregation? Wanting to look out for my fellow American Muslims is me being non sensible? LOL like I said Jews, blacks, hispanics and nearly everyone else who has thought about it does the same thing. I don't know if you have ever been here in the states but if you walk into most places in big cities you will find that most workers are usually from one ethnicity, especially if the manager shares said ethnicity. A block away from my house there is a kfc and a mcdonalds both of which are full of black employees only, no doubt hired by the black manager.

No. That's why I assumed that they are better integrated but the post I quoted contradicts what I initially thought.

Actually we are integrated but we do not need to prove anything to you sitting all the way over in the UK.

Of course it is segregation and it is illegal as a previous poster mentioned. From your post it also proves that Pakistanis value muslims from other countries than non-Muslims in Pakistan while complaining about discrimination against non-Muslims inside pakistan.I haven't been to USA so let someone else answer your question.

Didn't ask you to prove anything.

It's a problem no matter who does. I'd have said the exact same thing no matter who had posted what you'd posted. That's probably the biggest difference between you and I.

Edit: Do us a favor, just put up a poster on your premises with your hiring policy on it so we can all see it and make a conscious choice of whether we want to do business with you or not.

It is as illegal as j walking in other words illegal but no one gives a crap in fact what would create bigger issue in terms of employees would be the off the books cash payouts instead of the choice of employee.

Um point out where I encouraged discrimination? If anything I encouraged Muslims helping Muslims out first, something which every other group has been doing for years on end long before Muslims.

It's a problem no matter who does. I'd have said the exact same thing no matter who had posted what you'd posted. That's probably the biggest difference between you and I.

As far as I am concerned this has been the norm here since the day I was born and will not be changing any time soon. The only thing I was proud of was that American Muslims are now looking to help each other out, something that even ten years ago we were never in a good enough position as a social group to do so.

Edit: Do us a favor, just put up a poster on your premises with your hiring policy on it so we can make all see it and make a conscious choice of whether we want to do business with you or not.

Go read my comment again I was never hiring anybody, I did however help people find work. :-)

BSA is a non-profit association. Different rules since they are members not employees.

Well in my experience it's the opposite. If you look at the major Sunni groups in the UK, Turks are by far the least religious, and it's no surprise that they perform the worst at school. http://www.cpag.org.uk/sites/default/files/CPAG_Poverty138_PovertyEducationMigrantChildren_0.pdf
I'm not saying those who are religious Muslims outperform those who are non-religious, just that those who had a religious upbringing tend to do better than those that didn't. Yes British Iranians do well and they aren't that religious, but most of their immigrants were educated to a decent standard already, hence the reason their kids do well. whereas the Pakistanis/Banglas/Somalis,Turks,Yemenis etc weren't.
