Muslim woman gets 6 months for falsely accusing police officer of removing her hijab

I know what a trump card is now, but i still don't understand what you said. Doesn't make much sense to me (maybe because of the spelling mistakes and the incoherent wording) If you aren't very good with English, try not to use sayings. It only confuses people.

Do you of all people really want to match vocabulary?

The fact that the Australian media is trumpeting the news as 'Muslim woman' and 'Hijab woman' says it all.

Why is the woman's religion relevant in making a false complaint?

Are you really asking? She's being charged for false religious discrimination.

Because the complaint was that the officer removed her hijab forcefully and then she claimed it wasn't her under there. It's notl ike they are going to leave it out. Her faith and what she was wearing is a central part of what happened.

OK, I acknowledege that her religion is relevant to the case. I just don't like the unnecessary sensationalist headlines. It smacks of "them Muslims are at it again".

But I agree with the judge. Religious/racial discrimination is a serious matter and she shouldn't have made claims she couldn't substantiate.

I think those kinds of headlines are fair as incidents like these are a common occurrences.

The same kind of headlines were used for when loads of Indians were making up fake "racist" attacks.

If it's a one off thing, those kinds of headlines wouldn't be used.

Look at how this is being politicized. I mean you're talking about a country where vast majority of false rape and DV accusations are not prosecuted and most people don't care about those. Yet in this case..

Are you saying Muslims are routinely making false allegations of religious discrimination?

Can you subtantiate that claim?

I don't know which country you are talking about. This incident happened in Australia.

All false rape claims are prosecuted but i don't get why you are talking about rape claims.

Yes i am. There has been countless incidents some high profile and some not. A google search will lead you to the stories, i don't have enough time to dig them all out for you.

So, you are just making things up as usual, then?

Kind of like your claim that anonymous talk-back radio is more credible than actual police statistics.

I am talking about Australia and pretty much all western countries. No, false rape allegations don't get prosecuted in vast majority of the cases. They're let go. The reason why I talk about it is because this person in question is being demonized for making a false accusation yet women of other religion/colour who also make false accusations pretty much always get away with it.

Now keep in mind that false rape accusations are far more serious and worse accusations than the false accusation being discussed here.
