I agree with you on one go. Yes Hazrat UMAR RA for sometime made it binding and that was for punishment as for saying as a joke I stand with my statement that some may consider it one some may consider it three still what is agreed is that Talaq given as a joke would be considered valid.

This guy is most probably one of the millions from UP who left India to work in Gulf- Now here I am discussing the case of North India in general which is very different from South India or other parts- These people are hardly 10th pass even If they are most of them got through cheating or paying bribes- most of them don't have any skill- So they are forced to leave the country through agents- main destination being Gulf states- now the problem is so rampant that villages after villages- localities after localities are devoid of men- leaving behind their wives and old parents- Now If either of you know about the rural/backward culture in this part of India and I sure much difference aren't their even in some parts your country too- Police and law is nothing and an alone women is like an opportunity for goons- next I leave It to your imagination- There have been instance when the culprits pay the women after rape- and most don't even complain or make noise since they know they'll be thrown out- not that their family don't come to know- there have been cases like husband have been in Saudia for 2 years after marriage and the women is with 2 kids- If the women doesn't make noise this ignored and put under the carpet by the family- This applies to both Hindus and Muslims but is more rampant among Muslims where divorce is easy and quick and now with internet they don't even have to come back which they can do only after termination of their contract which generally for 1-2 years or depending on the employers- In the case of an unmarried girl- If the family of the girl is not weak- then the girl is married to one of the rapist or the rapist- while in case of weak family unmarried girl is like--- molestation is common thing there too- The most alarming thing is that in most of the crimes the culprits are know the family well or are a part of the family-

Nowhere in Holly Quran it's written that if a man says Talaq Talaq Talaq than the Talaq becomes mandatory, and whoever says that it is written in Holly Quran than ask him or her to show the verse from Holly Quran. However on many occasions Allah SWT has described the way to deal with the Talaq issue, and we (Muslims) can only guide ourselves if we do not blindly believe in what our Islamic Scholars says, but to receive guidance from Holly Quran.

In Sureh Al-Nisa verse number 35 Allah SWT has explained this to us;

"And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things]".

It means that if you fear that your relationship is going to an end, than appoint an arbitrator from Wife side and from husband side who will listen to both and will make a reconciliation between the both on the issues that were indeed solvable. And if, even after the appointing of the two arbitrators you still decide to divorce than their is another verse in Holly Quran which explains the perfect way that how you will divorce her.

And on other occasion Allah SWT says in Holly Quran in Sureh Baqarah, verse number 228.

"Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them [in responsibility and authority]. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise."

And I believe I do not have to explain this verse, as it is an explanation itself.

And also it is clearly explained in many other verses of Holly Quran. In Sureh Baqarah, from verse number 240-280.
And in Sureh At-Talaq.

In Pakistan you can't divorce like that. The divorce through courts has to be said three times in a span of three months.. After each moth a meeting is held in court where the divorce is given. Thus this allows adults and buzugs of the family to enter and resolve the dispute. I have no idea how this three times at the same time thing got so famous but it doesn't work that way.

Anyway as for the husband. He is the purest form the element scum if he would divorce his wife after hearing about her gang rape. Geez what's wrong with them.

She should sue For has mehar and custody as the four year old without a doubt goes to the mother. Considering how cheap and filthy the guy is I a. guessing the haq mehar has been set to be a pittance ....
