I have got friends living in Australia, they say Australia is good and its people good as well, although you can find bad people everywhere. Have we forgotten taliban and bin laden among the muslims? good and bad is in all communities and countries.

Dude, There were series of attacks on Indian Students and you want media to close it eyes to it. Do you think Indian and other International media manufactured them to defame you out of all for some unknown reason?

I am sure you don't have some super natural power to keep an eye on each and every corner of Melbourne. I am not saying Asian people don't get robbed etc, what i am saying is that Asian people do not get racially attacked all the time as many people on this forum say it does.

You have the India media reporting that mass groups of thousands of Australians are running around the country bashing and killing Asians in "Racist attacks" and that if you come here, you will be killed as soon as you step off the plane.

This is the garbage that people on this forum are repeating. They think they are arm chair experts, but they havent even been to Australia. They come out with these absurd statements such as "Australia is a very racist country, look at all the bashings and killings" All because the stupid media reported some stupid story.

All of the attacks were not racist attacks, they were just normal robberies etc that you would see in any city on the planet.

People get robbed all the time, infact i bet in the last couple of days loads of Asians have been robbed, along with Africans and Whites. The Indian media picked up on 1 Indian claiming the attack on him was racist and then decided to try and get a good story to report, so every time an Indian was robebd they would scream "racism"

Both were murdered, 1 was murderd by his Indian friends and 1 was murdered but they don't know who did it.

My friend, no need to fly off your handle. Nowhere have i spoken about people being stabbed and killed. Even i did not get stabbed or killed. i did not speak about armed gangs roaming through the streets of Australia. i spoke (wrote) about "intolerance". Should we have to see 'intolerance' manifest itself in the form of 'physical violence' to recognise it for what it is?
Do you think only Muslims/Asians/Indians/Pakistanis have been at the receiving end of this 'intolerance'?
At different times in Australian history there have been different targets- aborigines, people from the Mediterranean (Maltese, Italians etc) and so on. It is plain and simple discrimination in action which then gets ratcheted up, right up to 'physical violence'.

Australia is not racist but there is an element of racism and discrimination which exists in every society , Australia is a less populated country so the ratio apparently is high.

Majority , lets say 85% of Australians are jolly and outgoing , welcoming to immigrants as they or their father flew here too.

There are 15% of our bogans on the street who usually are on drugs and have 15 cans of VB in their stomach each day , what would you expect from them , they even give a lot of **** to other Caucasians not just migrants.

Sydney riots in 05 are prime example of idiots fighting each other , few days ago 2 people were stabbed to death in Melbourne , one in Hobart and one in Perth - luckily none of the victims were Indians or that would also have been an act of racism.

* I have lived in Melbourne for a fair bit of time , but now it has unfortunately turned into a "Stab city" , years ago no one wanted to go to Footscray , st Albuns and those areas around them but now it has spread everywhere , specially in the city. TG i don't live there anymore

For number of attacks on south asians, chinese and sudanese and stabbing you need to seriously research more. Don't throw some random numbers and try to justify the actions of the culprits.
