What's new

Mushy "I will go back" - This corrupted guy won't give up.

. . .
He only strengthened his bank accounts, how else would he support his luxurious living in London?

.
Good they have an arrest warrant out for him LOL

. .
He started off good, but then he fell victim to his own lust for power.
He made too many compromises to the old and corrupt and the results are for all to see

.
He is still better than most of the political parties in Pakistan. I would take him any time in exchange of Zardari, Altaf bhai or Asfand Yar Wal

This isn't about being better than what we have, this is about what he did. He ruined Pakistan.

He's the one who created the mess Pakistan is in today. If he denied to help the Americans in 2001, imagine how prosperous Pakistan would be right now. Although our sanctions would have stayed on, Pakistan would be in the same position as Iran has been for the last few years, and what do we know, maybe both Iran and Pakistan could have considered an alliance.

One must understand how to measure one's governance and leadership. A neutral, original opinion cannot just be based on media or general perception with little or no basis.

If one honestly looks at his tenure in terms of:-

- Foreign policy (relations with West, India, Islamic world)
- Country’s economic growth, which is best measured by percentage of poverty and GDP %
- Law and order situation (1999-2007)
- Country’s reputation abroad
- focus on education and employment (the amount of funding to education, formation of HEC and number of people from middle-class given money to study abroad at international standard Universities) .

It would give an obvious answer.
Well, this may sound an opinion of admirer of him but if you honestly judge on these criteria you will find the answer.

BTW: Newbie here, today I am a bit bored so decided to sign up and post something on a Pakistani forum, I am usually active on other local forums abroad so thought that would get the pleasure to argue with fellow desi’s ;)

He may have been a lot of things but corrupt, as in the definition of the word, he was not. No wonder not a single corruption case against him has been pleaded either by the Govt. nor by his arch nemesis NS!

I disagree with his ending comment. My question for Musharraf would be what did you do to strengthen Pakistan in terms of institutions while you were in power for 10 years.

It was not his job to strengthen institutions, it was and still is the job of the parliament!

He only strengthened his bank accounts, how else would he support his luxurious living in London?

What a juvenile and ignorant comment, his single lecture earns him anywhere from half a million to a million USD! And he gets invited for lectures all across the world.

Pakistan would have been prosperous had Musharraf denied support to the US in 2001? Do you even know the economic situation of the country from 1999 - 2001? I mean what's the point of posting comments that make sane people feel like ripping their brains out???? Furthermore, you had the foresight to compare Iran, a major oil producer, to Pakistan!!!

Damn!!!

Flawed Argument (Don't need explaining, you know the reason). The fact is that your blind hate against the man stops you to speak or hear the truth about him. Keep hating.

Wrong, he was definitely corrupt. The reason he did not have anything filed against him was because he was a DIC-TA-TOR. And even then, he has admitted to freeing countless of corrupt people by putting off charges against them.

To your first line - of course. To your second line - of course. To your third line - You're sane? Hah. To your fourth line - Bring me the verse of my sentence where I compared Pakistan to Iran's oil economy.

Brilliantly idiotic is what you are.

Fact-less and pointless insults like this won't help you with proving anything against my statements.
