- Getting American aid for trading innocent people (This is stated in his book)
- Nawab Akbar Bughti Murder (Creates Baluchistan unrest)
- Makes MQM powerful in Karachi (Violence increases)
- Sends AQ-Khan to Jail
- Red Mosque violence. (P.S he used phosphorous bombs on his own people)
- Inflation rate increase
- PIA near Bankrupt
- Railways near Bankrupt
- Attempted to sell Steel Mills to an Indian Businessman. (Later stopped by SC)
- Rupee Depreciation
- U.S Drone attacks
- Lets India build dams on a disputed territory. (Later we now realize that our water is being blocked)
- Benazir Security and Murder
- SC changes (He attempted to bring his own puppet judiciary)
- Accepts 58/2B
- Brings in incompetent Prime Ministers like Jamali, Shaukat Aziz, Chaudhary Shujaht, Somroo, etc...
- U.S Airbases in Pakistan
- Supply line to U.S through Afghanistan was Free of cost
There are tons of things Musharraf started that Pakistan now has to suffer. The Economy and stuff you are taking about is a fail. Almost everything is dependent on U.S Aid and funny thing is, U.S itself is still our #1 major trading partner. I don't understand why you don't see these things.
There is no development in Pakistan other than the same Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad. What did we achieve? New Cell Phones and New Cars? lol.
Electricity issues has always been there. There was nothing he did to improve this. Last i checked, 55% of the whole country's is stolen by Karachi.
Who could be a big looser than him? He is the same dude who refused to fight in the 65 war and fled to Karachi soon after.
Musharraf was not macro managing stuff as you have said but:
- Kargil standoff was the most brilliant plan that could have devised. If only the political leadership had guts, Kashmir problem would have been resolved once and for all, through dialogue. Kargil was supposed to force India to dialogues for a permanent solution.
- Akber Bugti (For God's sake dude, stop using the word Nawab with these scums) started terrorist activities throughout Baluchistan because Musharraf was living up to his word and was providing shelter to the tribes that had been outcast/exiled by Bugti and was giving them their lands back that had been illegally occupied by Bugti. Furthermore, Musharraf was giving development funds to the Government instead of Bugti. Bugti was, like other politicians, an extortionist who had a militia that he was using for anti state activities. He, most likely, committed suicide when he was left with no option but to surrender.
- MQM has always been powerful in Karachi, wake up and realize it for the love of God! Musharraf realized it and gave them power, they gave you security and development. Pick up the acts of violence under MQM (2002-3 to 2007) and compare to the figures of acts of violence later (2008-2012), they have increased atleast 100 times more!
- A.Q. Khan was never sent to jail, he was house arrested and it was the only option that the Government had after North Korea, Iran and Libya had openly stated that they had received Nuclear help from Pakistan. It was either find a scapegoat or have the whole country punished. He was a very smart man really, unlike what you are appearing to be.
- The so called Red Mosque was a building that was inhibited by terrorists who were armed with modern/sophisticated illegal weapons. The structure itself was build illegally on Government land. Anyway, the authorities gave ample time to the occupants to surrender and hundreds of them did...the rest were flushed out after 2 dead lines had been given to them. Terrorists who chose to take on the might of the system were punished as should have been. No phosphorous agents were used, any claim is pure BS.
- Inflation increased? It was actually structure of living that improved. Everybody was better off, nobody was committing suicides because of financial hardships.
- PIA was doing fine. It is bankrupt NOW!
- Railway was doing fine. It is bankrupt NOW!
- Steel Mills privatization process was transparent and open to all international bidders. Steel Mills has been incurring operational losses for many decades now and it was a very good decision to sell it. It should have been sold.
- 7-9 drone attacks on target coordinates provided by PakMil, what's the problem there?
- India has built more DAMS in the past 5 years then it did in the past 20, you want to blame Musharraf for that? Have you any idea of the Indus Water treaty? That treaty was breached by India in 2008/9, after Musharraf.
- Benazir Security & Murder? Should he have provided Benazir with a starwars kind of invisible shield? She had a bullet proof/bomb proof vehicle and hundreds of her jiyalas on top of rangers/police security. She was coaxed into hanging her head out of the sun roof at a very opportune moment.....by whom?
- SC Changes? He merely followed procedure when he received the recommendation by the prime minister against the CJ.
- Where are you even trying to go with 58/2(b)?
- You called Shaukat Aziz a incompetent prime minister, I don't even want to waste my energy here.
- Had no other option post 9/11
- Had no other option post 9/11
You mean Karachi steals 55% of the whole country's electricity? This lie just made me very very angry at you, it is not productive and has not an ounce of truth or intelligence in it.
So he refused to fight in 1965? My God, you are probably insane......infact this post is insane so you are definitely missing some marbles.
