Musharraf's laser guided bullet never misses its mark!
Lahore | August 07, 2006 12:11:19 PM IST

Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf wears many hats, but being a General comes before everything else it seems, though it might sound ominous for his bete noire Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto. He always carries a gun with him on his hip holster much like the Texas cowboys of old western blockbusters.
Only last month, Musharraf was in the Chitral Valley in the Northern Areas to watch a game of polo, and the gun was conspicuous above his right hip.
Later, he told a gathering of senior officials and close associates that he always carried the gun with him for security reasons. This, in addition to the elaborate security arrangements, his personal vehicle with "remote signal jammers", his plane with state-of-the art US surveillance and security technology, a personal gift from Bush, and he use of decoys - cars and helicopters - that are made before his visits.
According to a report in the Telegraph, Musharraf started carrying the Austrian made Glock 17 since December 25, 2003 after he survived a second suicide attack in two weeks by radical elements opposed to his government's joining the US led war on terror.
However, Musharraf's gun is not like any other ordinary Glock 17. It's a laser-guided gun that always finds its target.
Musharraf disclosed this fact while presenting a similar gun, sans the laser technology, to Amir Muqam, the federal minister for water and power.
"These guns are the same but the only difference is that mine is laser-guided. Amir Muqam is my brother and that is why he also faces the same threats as I do. Laser-guided weapons find the target on their own - "fire and forget, the gun does the rest," the Daily Times quoted Musharraf as saying in the report. (ANI)

The 5.45mm DROKTIK AUTOMATIC SMALL SIZED PISTOL is one such weapon on which a small laser designator can be mounted.

Bull,

If the General President feels he is safe, why worry?

He is the only hope for India.

I wish him well!

Just forget it and Fire
Yeah but I still think he's got to aim with it. This sounds like those old FPS 3D games like Doom. It had an option to turn autoaim on and off. All you had to do was aim close enough and the bullet would hit.

Perhaps Musharraf should try hitting Neo while he's doing his bullet dodging matrix moves? :D

lol I just had a hillarious thought... Musharraf == Morpheus :D

how will it lock on,it can only lock on to metal right? If there is something that can lock onto such a low heat signature coming from a human body, almost all stealth planes are going to be a waste!!!

Hi,

Looking at you guys response, seems like most of you do not know about laser pointers. It is not laser guided, even though it is----it is just your laser pointer mounted on the handgun, which you can buy for $ 20-30.

The laser is aligned with the barrel. Once you point and shoot at the targeted laser point, you indeed forget about the bullet, for it only takes a millisecond to reach it target.:coffee:

Ah haha laser-guided Homing bullets (sounds like something from a cartoon). ;)
