For those Tin Tanks, who says Musharraf benefitted with lifting of sanctions..

courtesy abc news via RiazHaq.. remember US foreign aid to Pakistan is reimbursements of expenses which Pakistan army incur to support US WoT.

Then why did he come back and start his own party to make another attempt to get back into power? Your analogy fails here.

Sir,

When the parents kick their kids out of the house---or the kids kick their parents out of the house---the life of the parents does not end at that spot---.

They still have to live---and they do things that they have been doing before----.

I blame the general too but not up to the mark of 100% :D

As we never know what was actually happening behind the curtains.
One thing i am really pissed at is the people.
Just don;t vote for these thugs and they won;t be able to come into power knowing whatever abc/xyz deals they make.

Do you think the deal would have been fruitful if people rejected it.(rejection as in voting).

why don't you compare Pakistan "growth" under musharraf to that of VIETNAM?

yes economy grew but compared to its peers the progress was not even near!

how many power plants did he initiate?

and let's not even bring india into the argument @RiazHaq

So what you mean is that the General who once usurped power by coup wanted to gain power again after he retired, just like he did before? Once an egomaniac, always an egomaniac?

Syed,

You should know by now that these clever statements don't work with me----.

Syed,

And you should know that trying to justify a treasonous coup by a General is always going to fail, no matter how avidly the contorted justifications are conjured up.

No one is justifying the coup.
Just stating the development which he did under his command and its way more than any other political party's development.
Just because it was a coup doesn't mean the good things should be counted as bad ones.

Do you think these politicians are justified according to the constitution?
All this corruption. Is this a democracy?

More like a democorrupcy.

heck i wouldn't even call that general overturned a democracy. Because this is not democracy which all these politicians cry about all the time.

So is that is the real Pakistan, where everyone is corrupt? Welcome to the real world. No wonder it is in the shape that we all can see.

Not everyone.

Just a bunch of corrupt political parties being elected by illiterate and non serious bunch of population.
Jaisay log waisay hukmaran.

Otherwise known as the "people get the government they deserve" statement.

In addition to total disbursements amounting to $4.5 billion from the IMF since 2013, Pakistan has also raised at least $3.5 billion from the international bond market by floating Sukuks and Eurobonds.

In its many reports on the economy, the SBP has made it abundantly clear that it is not particularly fond of the government’s approach to shore up foreign exchange reserves on borrowed funds.

It should be noted that repayments to the Paris Club — following the debt rescheduling of December 2001 – are set to begin in 2016-17 whereas IMF repayments will start from 2017-18. It is against this backdrop that the SBP believes shifting financing away to non-debt creating inflows (i.e. foreign investments) is a must to strengthen the country’s debt servicing capacity in the future.

“A sustainable solution requires narrowing the FX gap with real earnings from exports and/or remittances, rationalisation of imports, and curbing smuggling,” the central bank advised the government in one of its recent reports.

And that includes ALL the PHD holders from IK's followers, who can't speak proper language, but verbally abuse others. And somehow, they are to be considered the Messiah of the Pakistan. When majority of these people are rich fools getting drunk on Alcohol and have no real committed family lives, let alone committed lives to the country. Majority of IK's "political brass" (if you REALLY want to use this term without shame), comes from other failed parties where these same people couldn't be worth jack shiit. Today, they are considered "leaders" in their areas set by IK!!!! I've never seen a more worst definition of a leader in my entire life.

There is a difference between a leader and a critic. A critic ain't no leader and a leader ain't no critic. IK and his people, at best are critics. So when they ever come into power, you'll see a repeat of the "Deer in the Headlight" movie!!
