I've always liked Gen. Musharraf. I don't know Pakistani politics very well but he always appeared rational, brave and principled with Pakistan's interest in mind. I was really bummed when I heard Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan. Political dynasties are like cheese, the longer you keep them around the more they stink. The longer you keep them around, the longer they have to build a network of cronies who are interested in no one else but themselves.
People in China often say that Mao Anying (Mao's son) being killed fighting in the Korean war was “the best thing to ever happen to China” because it prevented Mao forming a dynasty and dragging the country down like Kim Jung Il did in the Korea.
I wish Gen. Musharraf good health and good luck.
