Give me any one example ,which show his professionalism, only idiots can be impressed by listening interview only.
I'll give you a few examples. One is the Lal Masjid Operation. Granted, this whole episode should never have occured, but after the Lal Masjid spisode started, rather than going in gungho and having everyone killed, Musharraf stalled the operation long enough for most civilians to escape and did his best to try to negotiate with the clerics involved until they had stalled long enough. This helped save countless lives of people who were held in that Mosque.
Another thing that shows his professionalism was the fact that he was perhaps the first leader of the country to realise that the MQM had widespread political support in Karachi and allowed them to come in power and form their own city government. Many may not agree with or even hate Altaf Hussein, but the city government under Mustafa Kamal has done some very good work for this city.
He also managed to put competent people incharge of their offices and it seems didn't give too many people important ranks based in sifarish. One such case was Shaukat Aziz, who despite his problems, managed to transform the Pakistani economy into one of the fastest emerging economies in the world and managed to facilitate huge amounts of foeign investment. Look at our forex during Musharraf's time and look at it after - you'll understand what I'm on about.
His government's financial policies also managed to keep the rupee's exchange rate stable, at roughly 60 rupees to a dollar. Look at the exchange rate now and you'll see that post Musharraf the rupee's value has fallen massively. This has amounted to some people losing a huge amount of their savings, especially Pakistanis settled in the States with assets still in the coutry.
Also, during Musharraf's time, Indo-Pak relations were at an all time high and Pakistan's foreign image was stronger than it is now. Imagine, Zardari, our President, the man who represents us & see how weak he is when speaking to people. I think in a war of words he'd lose to George Bush Jr. with a broken jaw. The presidend represents us abroad. If foreign investors have a look at him/her & the president manages to convince them that they are strong enough to help the investors keep their investments safe, they'll invest, however, Zardari seems to be a weak man and has a history of corruption. This may cause people to not trust him & take their investments elsewhere.
These are only a few things & important decisions that show his professionalism as a president. I can expand on this list if you need more things.
