Major arteries cleared to make way for traffic after Murree snowstorm tragedy

Army personnel rescue more than 300 people from Murree

A day earlier, following the federal government's decision to deploy personnel of the Pakistan Army and other civil-armed forces for rescue operations in snow-hit Murree, the army rescued more than 300 people, including children, the Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) had said.

The rescued people were provided medical care by a team of army doctors and paramedics, the military's media wing had said.

According to a statement, cooked meals had been served to more than 1,000 stranded people in Jhika Gali, Kashmiri Bazar, Lower Topa and Kuldana.

ISPR had said that the stranded people had been accommodated and provided shelter with meals and tea at Military College Murree, Supply Depot, APS and Army Logistics School Kuldana.

The military fanboys just cant sit down without praising them. Its not a big favor. If anything, those ppl were stuck all night on the road that is right infront of military bases and no one bothered to come out and help. Now when its in media, they r out showing efficiency. Its also not only that pak army helps, in every country army helps because they are govt employees and guess what, none of the those country's army boast abt it. Stop being idol worshippers.

In USA, not the Army, It is National Guard which is under Governor controls, do come in such a disaster situation. .

Its the job of the NDMA not regular units of the Pak army. If the NDMA is useless why not disband it?
Furthermore this govt keeps on encouraging people for tourism which is foolish. People might not agree but the fact is you cannot have tourism when law and order is poor, infrastructure is non existent and there is no disaster management.

This happened in a settled area. Nobody even knows what happens in up north.

Even in my own colony I saw four boys getting ready to go to Muree and were getting their car ready for that.

Army should set up a check post on the Muree road and if they see any car heading towards Muree they should make them to park somewhere safe and put knife through the all 4 tyres. If some people only care about their joy let them have some joy when car is towed back.
Seen videos of Police telling the drivers not to head towards Muree as its not safe but police is ignored and spat at and now we are facing this tragedy.
