Murree Altitude

.
^ You are acclimated to high elevation. I have never visited Thandiani or Nathia Gali but will visit some day.

May be, but last year I ascended to Ansoo Lake (13,000+ ft) and I did it quite easily (first time went beyond 10k ft)....that’s why I attribute altitude sickness to more of a personal fitness than altitude itself.

Well it is a combination of both personal fitness and acclimation can help you adapt to higher elevations such as 10,000 ft high. Though congratulations for going 13,000 ft high I want to reach 20,000+ ft high as my goal. Then after that even higher.

HA sickness does not normally happen below 14000 ft. It has more to do with the vegetation present in the area. Regions which are vegetated do not have a shortage of oxygen hence do not present much problems. As one goes higher, the absence of oxygen begins to tell on the body. Thats when one needs to be careful for the first 24 - 48 hrs.

Below 10000 ft there are no problems at all.

I, haven't but some friends did. Also, cranking up the vehicle's heather while its snowing outside can give you a temperature shock resulting in sickness.

Murree is full of trees, I don't think there is any shortage of oxygen

Visited Kaghan, Naran, Kalam, Thandiani and many times Murree.....always came back feeling healthy.

It's amazing how when sitting by a window in Murree, you see the cloud floating below you.

Once when we were in Murree (living there) around 2008-09, clouds actually came inside our home. You could see the the white-ish mist in the air against the dark background behind, and everything felt all wet and moist.

Another instance of clouds passing, Our house was on top of a hill, opposite to us was another hill (Where Main murree/mall road is), and clouds were passing in between both as fast as cars!!!
