Mumbai is also getting a Metro so where does the Monorail come in the picture?

The Metro when it finishes construction will cover the entire Mumbai so why are they building a monorail in parallel?

Monorails are generally designed to compliment Metros. As I saw in Singapore, near a major metro station these monorails would act as a feeder going deeper into the territory, from where the Metro station would not be walking distance. We have feeder buses in Delhi for Delhi Metro, seems like Mumbai is moving one-up with monorail as feeder.
