It is sad to see lives wasted like this.

About 20 years ago I used to hear of cylinder blasts in India, in similar fashion. But never heard of such blasts taking so many lives in one go.

definitely not a cylinder blast....30 dead as of now and highly likely to increase...... some are saying that there is a ammo depot nearby.... so i suspect that might have blown..... lets hope for the best....and RIP to the dead.

Yes you are right. There are! Thanks for correcting me.

Anyway, it is just that in the 90s I used to read about them almost everyday. But I don't understand how could 10 people die in a single go. That is the part I can't understand. Cylinder blasts are powerful, but they are not designed to "kill" people, as are bombs that have greater explosion power and are designed specifically to kill people - there is much more to this explosion than just a gas cylinder blast.
