Hinduata first policy again at works. Rage shooting incidents had happened before in the Indian army especially in the Kashmir region. The Indian government doesn't release the name of the shooter immediately.

But in this case, they have outrightly named "masood ul Rehman" with clear intentions of creating religious tensions. And it has worked, most of the Indian now questioning his religion and affiliations and calling him jihadi, etc in comments. This will weaken the Indian army further and alienate the muslim soldiers.

As much as I despise Indian muslims being part of the Indian army they are professional soldiers and deserve respect, especially from their institutions and countrymen.

In Pakistan Hindu, Christian and even qadiyani soldiers are buried with full military honors despite the incitement attempts of some extremist mullahs. ISPR openly stood with them and that's the right thing to do for a professional institution.
